  1. Nahh. He has been a distraction for our actual core. He’s never been trash but goodness, he sure didnt perform for us when he was talking , and he wanted $20+ million

  2. Yall talking like Dillon didn't help us That Series against the Lakers didn't Nobody do Nothing Dillon not Joke Grizzlies will miss him WATCH Santi A Grizzlies need to trade him

  3. As great as he was defensively, offensively he hurt the team too much. He was taking more shots than Bane in a lot of games. Grizzlies were never gonna win big with him.

  4. DB was fun and I enjoyed rooting for him (usually heh) but it was time for the team to move on. No way they could commit that kind of $ for Dillon among other reasons.

  5. ABSOLUTELY!!! I’ve been yelling that since we let him go.

OUR FANS ARE WAY TOO INFLUENCED BY THE MEDIA, BASICALLY THE BIG MARKET TEAMS.

They hated him because he’s a badass!

  6. JJJ is young he has to improve in some areas especially rebounding and foul trouble. Lets hope Brooks dosent have a monster season next year and becomes a legit 2 way player

  7. For the role that Jenkins wants Dillon to play, Dillon needed to go. The shots Dillon missed are on Dillon. He said that was what he was going to work on this offseason. It’s possible he improves but if you had to judge from his shooting performance on the floor the last 2 years then most would not bet on that.

If Dillon just consistently made open jump shots he would still be a Grizzly and gotten paid. Contrary to what some believe, we need efficient scoring from that position especially if Ja and Bane are having off nights.

Jaren and Santi’s performance showed that the Grizzlies need another physical backup big man and this comment in no way is meant to bash them.

  8. I think with Dillion Brooks , we're seeing his growth associated with his Memphis Grizzlies firing. He might have needed that defeat. Maybe it was a fear. Maybe it was hurdle. Maybe . . . The Grizzlies were what was holding Dillion Brooks back. And now he's finally free to be his stone cold self. 🥶.

  9. The Grizz were negotiating with Dillion all year until it was evident he was unwilling to accept a fair deal. Based on his prior performance that year and particularly the playoffs (how are you going to let a 60 ur old man go left) the Grizz were not inclined to pay him 80 million dollars. Let’s not get fooled by the banana in the tail pipe performance of FIBA. Not the same as NBA. I am not going to cry because we had to settle for a former defensive player of the year, Marcus Smart. 🤣
