This channel is obsessed with Julius Randle.
I wish they would've gotten rid of Randle and kept Obi. Obi will become a superstar.
Gotta appreciate Randle showing live to Obi and Obi showing love back to the Knicks.
Answer me this please… How can Julius Randle improve his efficiency on this roster…. With this coaching staff ….. Outside of just taking less shots??
When this coaching staff TOLD him to shoot more 3's ???? He was challenged to take more 3's last season.
We even seen Obi start letting it fly… The coaching staff has very little interest in getting their bigs better looks at the basket.
Whether it be Randle and Obi when he was here… We don't even see Mitch involved..
We see no pick n roll or Pick n pop game with Julius at all..
I can count on 1 hand maybe, the amount of pick n rolls I've seen Julius in with a point guard in the last 2 seasons combined !
And what's mind boggling about it is how random they would occur but isn't used consistently.
I remember we were playing the Bucks @ the Garden 2 years ago and I watch the games on opposing teams commentary to get actual basketball analysis.
The Bucks commentary team saw Derrick Rose and Julius connect on a pick n roll…
You know what they said ??? If The Knicks keep utilizing this pick n roll with Rose & Randle we're in trouble..
And they were relieved buy confused as to why they didn't go back to it at all 😆i can't make this up
I've even heard Boston ponder why the Knicks didn't throw a small ball line up of Randle and Obi at them one game.
I'm just proving a point . the Knicks do not operate in common sense like other teams.
They must do it the hardest way possible…
I mean who constructs a team like we have now???
A bunch of smaller guards who aren't offensive juggernauts from the perimeter….
We play two centers who don't space the floor at all or isn't allowed to show much else.
Talks of RJ or Josh Hart playing the 4… When they're offensively challenged.
The Knicks are near last in the NBA of the bigs receiving the roll the pass in a pick n roll..
You've watched Julius comand doubles at a high rate and make this man live on jumpers with no spacing in every single knick season of his.
Why the hell is Julius that strong and fast at his size just for the coaching staff to tell him increase your 3 point attempts??
With no other solution other than trust the pass !
I'm sorry but that BS doesn't work in the NBA without actual talent + a cohesive roster that complements your best players.
Greg Popovich was struggling with his team with no real talent there . they play the right way.
Goldenstate without Steph was in the lottery one year to obtain Wiseman..
The ball movement crap means nothing if you don't have players who's a real threat to score.
So how can Julius improve his efficiency other than taking less 3's ?
He sure as hell won't get to the basket like he use to in L.A & New Orleans.. Not without a pick n roll set with this offensively challenged roster.
When he's doubled at a higher rate than everyone else on the squad…
Randle is (3rd in the NBA in double teams drawn behind Giannis and Embiid)
Randle is saying the right things but it's not reality with Thibs and this redundant roster
