sorry COOP as a Celtics fan something was off with Rob last season. He didnt have the quick hops. I hope whatever was ailing him last season is fixed but as someone who's watched him play 30 games a season since he enter the league I'm going to press X for doubt.
Come on, now, in Holiday and KP, we just got the Rich Man's Marcus Smart AND Al Horford. And, aside from the depth we added that you briefly touched on, we also quietly got a steal of a fan-favorite prospect that we signed on a 2-way that looks to be the Rich Man's Rob Williams, if you can believe that, in Neemias Queta. He's been put on the right team at the right time and he knows it, so….. Licking chops over this team and the season ahead!
Agree with yr analysis and all points except 1: RW's value. He is one of the players who costed Celtics many possessions due to wrong help and not boxing out and go for blocks. Check out games 5&6 in Warriors-Celtics finals 2 yrs ago. That's barely OK in regular season but for sure not in playoffs. Positional defense with high discipline and high level of play reading is what's needed to win in playoffs. If you watch enough how Horford plays D you'll know what I mean on this type of defense. That's (+3 pt shooting) how Horford is still very effective at this age.
RW's mindset is also quite poor in terms of self improvement. For someone who has 3-4 relatively healthy seasons and still did not develop a mid range and long range shot, and not even looking to shoot / dunk / post up with single coverage, after getting the offensive rebound and pass out, he has reached his ceiling. Perfect chance to get rid of him while his perceived value is still high.
Coughing the ball up like that has to haunt Booker. If he hits that bucket and they win the game and move on to game 6 we could be taking about the bucks choking and Booker being that dude, but now it's just "that flukey year the Suns went to the finals."

I think getting Holiday pushes the Celtics past the Bucks as the frontrunner to win the East. Dame is a great player but he's never played on an NBA team as option B…as he will with Giannis. He's also not much of a defender. Holiday is a great all-around player. He's great on defense and a good facilitator and shooter on offense. (about 38% from 3) Portland really did a number on the Bucks. Giving them Dame was huge but giving the Celtics Holiday was just as big, if not bigger, in my mind.
As a bucks fan, Jrue has been very inconsistent since the 2021 championship, I don't see him suddenly playing better or being the key player to create a superteam in Boston, I might be wrong, but these are my thoughts and opinions, only time will tell…
You guys do realize that the starting 5 can’t play 48 mins every game right? How are the Celtics gonna beat anyone when they have a no name bench and no one to stop Giannis from coming down hill.
If only Rob was constantly hurt now for the last season and a half. He had knee issues in college and will likely never be the same player again he was 2 years ago. When he is on the court and healthy he is fantastic, he just never is now.
If you told Celtics fans they could get Porzingis and Holliday for Smart, Brogdon, 2 future draft picks and Williams, that’s a utter no brainer.

The Celtics look unstoppable. Outside of their stacked top-6, what if Houser, Prichard, Kornet, or any other of the C's bench raise it up a level? Last year, it was Derrick White. Even through Smart was my favorite player on the Celtics, I'm glad they've put Tatum in a position where he's the voice and face of the team. Leadership tested.
Jrue Holiday is just a different Marcus Smart. Better on defense but way worse on offense. People really buying into the media narrative lol
