Lmao yes I didn’t believe it then and I don’t believe it now. It was a miracle to get anything for Nunn and if I remember correctly the picks used in this trade we got from Denver for Bryant.

    Rui basically came for free

I get that he was seen as a bit of a bust but we traded the statistical worst player in the league plus some seconds for a lottery pick forward/wing who wasn’t even in his prime yet. Absolute steal

My favorite was “He’s not a guy that’ll turn your season around or impact a playoff game” and then he went and dropped 29 on the Grizzlies heads in game 1

This trade was masterful. It showed Rob knew how to cook. He somehow gets a much need forward. And for 3 seconds that he got for trading Bryant. It hurt me to see us lose Thomas Bryant without him and AD playing together. Bryant was playing so well when AD was out. But I knew we weren’t going to keep Bryant in the offseason anyways.

Credit the FO on finding gold again because Rui wasn’t a rotation player for Washington

I cannot believe how fast Kendrick nunn fell off. Dude was second in rookie of the year voting ahead of Zion and is out of the league 3 years later. A bone bruise is not supposed to be a career ending injury

I like Rui’s upside more than anyone on this team other than Bron and AD but he still has something to prove. He needs to be aggressive while keeping his 3 point shooting close to what it was in the playoffs.

Their grading system isn’t business school style. C+ is slightly above average. Which anyone in their right minds would have agreed with at the time. He surprised everyone.

Edit: this thread is full of liars. Haha
