Uh oh. Calling in the "body language" expert. I think you're reading too much into THJ's reaction.
Here let me lay it on the line.
Lively has shown he's active and..Lively in the Offseason Summer League.
He also looked like he didn't know the fundamentals such as setting Screens(and this was against other rookies and g-leaguers.
Now the media is pushing that after a couple practices that he's proven he's a day one starter.
Geez, I remember when they said Eric Dampier hit 11 3's in a row in practice. Ever since I was one level down from Allen Iverson "PRACTICE, WE TALKING PRACTICE". While I think it is essential. I also know not to read much into it. If Mavs are proclaiming Lively a Day 1 starter(which I doubt they have) after just a couple "PRACTICE" games. Than Mavs HQ that let JB walk and rejected Gianiss, when the GM knew he was gonna be a SUper SUperStar and Nash walk etc etc…..is still here and in charge.

Buddy is a better player. But he's short with a lack of Defense. I do the trade for THJ. But realize this is gonna stunt the growth of Hardy for sure. Cause there are only 24 minutes left at SG after Kyrie goes to back up Luka at point. And Buddy will probably get all of those.(maybe a couple minutes for those others).
So you are addressing a area of Strength. At least Timmy has some height and is able to play the 3 at times because of this.
So better player, Worse fit. And there isn't any room for Timmy(but they have to play him cause they have to trade him).
This is why they should have added a 1st or Hardy and gotten Ayton. Their isn't any room at guard for THJ and now they have to play him because they have to trade him. Short sighted issue there for Mavs HQ.
I bet Gordons 3 point shooting goes back up too. I also bet he gets another serious injury…

I would try Lively, 100% he will be better than Powell
Capela if possible, in exchange for THJ and Holmes.
We don't need the other players. If anything an improvement in defense over Green, like Caruso or Thybulle.
