do we really think anta is committing crimes that are different than the crimes committed by nike

  2. The_Sign_of_Zeta

Kyrie is a very high-level hypocrite. Truly one of the GOATs.

  3. AgadorFartacus

Kyrie is working on a new film titled *Hebrews to Uyghurs: Wake Up Black China!*

  4. StefonDiggsHS

As opposed to Nike? I don’t defend Kyries actions but cmon

  5. FlochofBirds

    >a part of “atrocities” the U.S. State Department has decried as “crimes against humanity”

Why do we need to care about what the U.S. State Department says about anything, ever?

  6. this_my_sportsreddit

Rage bait bullshit for people desperate to hate on Kyrie. The lack of outrage for players signed with Nike proves yall don’t really care about human rights.

  7. RealBatuRem

This is the least surprising thing I’ve ever seen.

  8. antartida_

So are Nike and adidas but we like those companies in the USA so it’s fine

  9. Gerald_the_sealion

“They aren’t human rights abuses, they are human rights alternatives” – Kyrie

  10. TheMoorNextDoor

    This headline so crazy.

It’s like they said… Kyrie didn’t do something controversial this off-season… nah we gotta write something up about this dude 😂

People in this thread falling for that shit too it’s kind of sad to see the lack of critical thinking in todays time because last time I check Nike, Adidas, and multiple brands all are unethical in China..

  11. Odd-Commercial-8

No one here cares otherwise everyone would be called out. Yall just like jumping on Kyrie cause it’s easy

  12. joe1240134

Man, this cold war reboot is LIT. Wonder who they’re gonna cast as the new Joseph McCarthy.

  13. inkyblinkypinkysue

Most of us will work hard our entire lives and never get to be a c-level exec at any company but then again none of us are as smart and enlightened as Kyrie.

    Just shoot me.

  14. 99% of rich people actually suck, including all these superstar athletes we idolize. Important to remember.

Kyrie is a particular brand of clown, though.

  15. ChrisPaulsABitch

Imagine talking all that shit about slavery and genocide and then rolling with the Uyghur round up crew. Guess it don’t matter though right? “Ky got a deep bag and a cold handle”.

There is nothing but weird false equivalencies here from Kyrie lovers. A massive chunk of the industry of basketball is filled with morally abhorrent business practices. We all saw how the entire NBA turned on Morey for saying something Americans widely agreed with that goes against the Chinese government. Nobody has clean hands in the NBA, nearly all endorsement deals are morally compromising.

But the entire reason Kyrie gets added scrutiny is he tries to insist he’s above that. Like that’s the whole point. When you insist that you’re of a higher standard, the hypocrisy is relevant. Nike is evil, but he didn’t even choose to leave Nike. They chose to leave him. So Steph is evil for his FTX and NIMBY shit, all the Nike athletes are functional supporters of slave and child labor, etc. etc. etc. And he’s just like them.

Kyrie should just admit he’s a part of that same game. He isn’t better than everyone else. Attending some BLM shit and then poisoning the well by becoming a cancer is actively more harmful than any player quietly giving money to some organization without appearing publicly on their zoom organizing calls.

The Kyrie apologists are so weird. The dude posted Nazi apologetics on main! His defense is he’s actually just so morally good you wouldn’t understand and someone is just trying to keep him down (draw your own conclusions on who “they” are). Like what are we even doing here? Of course he gets more shit than anyone else when he proves he’s just another dumbass who compromises his morals for money.

  17. WTakesOnly

I hate Kyrie and don’t defend him on the other stuff, but if you wanted to expose every athlete that has ties to evil companies this sub would be fucking drowning in these kinds of posts

  18. okokokok999999

sure it is so much worse than other companies, for example Nike

what a piece of trash article.

  19. josefjohann

Can’t wait for links to this thread to make the rounds and get brigaded like every thread on China human rights abuses.

  20. aginglifter

I mean Apple is linked to human rights abuses with their manufacturing in China.

  21. Keep same energy for all the other companies that you buy stuff from..

  22. No_Match_7939

The raging hate this sub has for Kyrie is hilarious.

  23. SputnikFace

What does Klay and Rondo have to say about this?

We all bloody. I’m browsing this thread on a phone that uses suicide nets at their manafucturing plants.

Maybe as an exec, Kyrie can help.

  24. Gang_Gang_Onward

    such garbage, clickbait journalism.

anyone with ties to any chinese firm is technically “tied to human rights abuses”. thats just how china works.

  25. I don’t see all these post when people sign to Nike? just more kyrie hate and this sub is all in on tearing dude down. post about how he is trying to create a lane for players to actually build a brand with their shoes rather than get Jordan colorways and not have anything after ball.

  26. Powpowpowowowow

Klay Thompson is also a part of that company. Where is the article demeaning him exactly?
