I wouldn’t be surprised if he is the starter during most playoff match-ups

  2. No-Equipment-20

I think Prince is the best spacer, Vando is the best defender, Rui is the best scorer

  3. yeezyhersh

hes prob shooting close to 100% in schrimages.. but like others of said situational starters.. we might consolidate down the line (grant/lavine/derozan)

It’s not always the best 5, but the fit of the starting 5 that is important. I thought it would be Hayes tbh. We’ll see.

Called that shit when we signed him. He’s a potentially elite spacing option that plays hard defense. He’s basically a perfect fit.

Only reason I still go Vando is because Vando gives us the elite POA defender in the starting lineup and you hope that AD/Bron can space effectively. But Prince would be great too.

Imagine Vando/Rui off the bench man, teams get no breaks lol

It’s not surprising. He’s literally the 3 and D sorta wing we’ve been looking for years. He might not have the offensive upside of Rui or the defensive of Vando but I feel he raises the floor the most at the very least.

This shouldn’t be a surprise. He’s a great fit for this team.

  8. I like the situational starter idea that’s been floated. Also, I’m gonna go on a limb and say Rui gets 6MOTY.

  9. This would demolish Vando’s minutes. He’d need to be shooting over 40% for that to actually be viable rotation wise.

No ham stick to the starters from the playoffs. We don’t know if he can shoot in crypto yet

I would bench dlo and start reaves, prince, bron, ad and hayes. Specially against the denver

  12. This is going to be a very hot take and I know it won’t happen because he’s only done it once in his career for Varejao (and I think regretted it) but I wouldn’t hate if there were games where LeBron came off the bench when healthy rather than sitting entirely and we ran starting lineups of Reaves/DLo/Rui/Prince/AD.

Most of those guys can generate their own shots, there’s not a major defensive gap outside of DLo (Reaves isn’t great but he’s passable when he’s not completely outsized) and it’ll get AD burn with different guys he may end up starting next to anyways if LeBron has any injuries or needs extended breaks. And then you’ve got LeBron leading the second unit and playing 20-24 MPG for specific matchups and absolutely feasting.

Like I said, I know it won’t happen because it’s so rare for guys of that caliber to be willing to come off the bench, even for just the occasional game… but it would likely help limit his minutes during the regular season & ensure that both the starters and bench have a top distributor & ball-handler at essentially all times.

We have…wing options?! Darvin Ham is confused by this.

  14. Bigpoppalos

My only worry is that if vando doesn’t play with the starters he’ll be lost in the rotation

  15. Apprehensive-Law2435

lineup of dlo reaves prince bron wood goes crazy with the spacing

  16. UnibrowOnDeyAss

I like what Ham said about matchup dependent starting lineups but to be totally honest I still prefer Vandy to slot in next to Dlo and Reaves.

Rui would kill second units and Prince would add much needed shooting to bench lineups that will be captained by one of lebron or Ad.

I think Rui will play the most minutes and Prince can play more than Vandy on nights where the shot is falling, but overall I think this route gives the lakers the most balance.

Buha saw him get a few reps with the starters just like Vando and Rui and ran with it and made a clickbait article

  18. kidcorey12345

It’s crazy how people’s opinions change on reports. All off-season I said Prince was going to start and got flamed on here for it he the most ready player

  19. So is Cam Reddish going to get any playing time with how highly regarded Rui, Prince, and Vando are right now?

  20. alexamerling100

Makes sense. 3 and d guy that Darvin knows. Gonna get the Dennis treatment lol

  21. Start: Russell, Reaves, LeBron, AD, Hayes

Bench: Heat guy (blanked), Prince, Rui, Vando, Woods
