There has been some confusion on the Timelord nickname and I wanted to clarify it. Rob missed some early practices because of alarm clocks not going off. People were goofing on him and nicknames such as Sleepy, Sandman, and Timelord were floated.
Timelord stuck because once people started seeing his incredible ability to come out of nowhere and do these dazzling blocks, the fan base realized that yes, he’s just like the Dr. Who characters who can time travel. So Timelard started off as a sort of derogatory nickname but quickly morphed into a nickname of high respect for his super human abilities to block shots. How else could he do them if he didn’t travel through time and see the shot before it happened?
We in Boston loved Timelord. He’s an awesome and exciting player and a good person. Treat him well.
