In what sense? I feel like it was pretty clear trade where we moved up to guarantee getting Cason, and the Mavs benefited by getting off Bertans while still getting their guy in Lively.

It is not a Cason-Lively trade. It is a 10th pick-12th pick + salary dump trade.
What one might do in the future or at the end of the season is reevaluate the draft selections.

I wonder why we made that trade to move up 2 spots. If the mavs wanted Cason surely they wouldn’t have done it? The magic took Jett Howard who is a guard at 11 – maybe the thunder had some intel that’s who they had their eye on?

For those who watched, Lively went up against Gobert/the Wolves frontline and didn’t look bad at all, I think he’s further along than advertised. Could see him getting more minutes than Cason this year, if only because the Mavs are so thin up front and the Thunder are loaded at guard.
