SVG tough practices and tough coaching is exactly what had guys like Drummond in the Allstar game . He was too young to be complaining. Miami heat have tough practices and insanely strict rules on body weight ect and are looked at as one of the greatest organizations

Stan wasn't just doing that to rookies and guys coming out of G league, but to veterans too, and most weren't having it. Gilbert Arenas discussed it.

Stan Van gundy was such a horrible GM, it felt like a conspiracy against the pistons.

SVG's biggest problem was not understanding how to manage young players. Also he should have just been the coach and not the GM.

SVG wasn't the right guy for the job. He didn't know how to develop young players and that hurt a team that needed a rebuild.
However, I do feel like people need to remember SVG was better than what we had in Dumars last couple years with the team.
