Pascal isn't "selfish", but sometimes he plays with tunnel vision – e.g. Game 7 against the Celtics. And Nurse allowed it. The team needed a complete shakeup, and Siakam can't assume he'll get the same usage as before. Yes, Jak, Scottie and Pascal doesn't seem like an ideal front-court, so it's reasonable to see if any of them have significantly improved their shooting.
But yes, it makes no obvious sense to not extend Pascal ASAP, if his camp is open to it.

There is going to be growing pains and loses and as fans we will need to be patient. I am exited but I am not expecting a lot this season.
If I'm Pascal, I ask myself why do I want to be here if the money does not justify dealing with all this disrespect. He is by far the best player. Nobody can do what he does, and you need a guy like him to succeed (they can't all be average or slightly above average). If he becomes available, there will be war to get him because he will be the extra thing to win the championship. We will be here with our average players fighting for lottery picks for the coming years. Btw FVV was the selfish one.
Regarding Dennis, watch his 2 man game with Daniel Theiss in FiBa, i think it is a perfect blueprint how the pic and roll could work with Jacob. More often than not Jacob will be rewarded.
