The Nets were one of the slowest teams in the league last season and it caused issues for them on both sides of the ball. Things have to change this time around and it looks like Ben Simmons could be a difference maker when it comes to the speed of the team.
Simmons has come out and said he wants the team to have more of a run-and-gun style. And that makes sense for his type of play. But is the rest of the team ready for it?

Ben Simmons comments about Brooklyn playing a faster running /gunning type of offense will be a key for them especially since they lost a lot of scoring last season. Plus Ben Simmons can throw some long assist passes and he can find Mikal Johnson and Claxton for some easy buckets with his assists….
More importantly this could be another key that helps Simmons and Claxton improve their chemistry more as well….
Man i pray that Ben Simmons is truly physically back to his old self and that his conference is still there, i wanna see Simmons fearless out there, just let it loose!!
It sounds like Ben is really stepping up lately. I think he really wants to be a leader on this team if not "THE" leader.
I don’t see the question marks you do in regards to speed. A big problem I hope the team works on is ball handling and catching the ball in the post and on the move. That’s the problem with speed. Dayron will be in the right place and miff the ball because he’s not ready or expecting the ball for some reason. When guys cut on offense and dont look for the ball just to move, I don’t understand. No free cardio!
