Would you trade Jalen for Ausar Thompson? Jackson asked him a question and he couldn't even answer it. He just looked over to Johnathon. I guess I'm just not a Jalen Green fan. Makes me think of Walter Berry. That dude was simple.
I have not been very fond of Jalen's game for the two last seasons. His game did not reflect the opportunities and playtime he was given. He didn't put real effort in his game.
I believe this will change because of how Udoka will utilize and manage him.
Music to my ears
Loosing Wood and KPJ eventualy gave Ime a wining hand. Thats a brand new team with a brand new culture where nobody steps on the others foot, and compete on the court to fill his stats. Jaylen currently has many strong pieces around him to use instead of forcing isos over and over again.
He wants to win and trusts to Ime and his teammates. I'm confident he'll complete this mental shift and apply to his new allaround game.
I think Jalen will have a breakout year and I’m pretty hyped. But if him and Alpi both earn big extensions this offseason, how much room will Rockets have later to give similar extensions to say Jabari and Amen? Can they theoretically give four rookie max extensions over the next few years and still have room for adequate depth?
MATURITY is key for Jalen. I don’t know him off the court, but…no more stupid videos. His interviews still sound like an 18 year old. All of this to say that, you’re correct. His game is multi faceted. He has multiple plates to spin, and he can spin a couple of them, on a god night, like few others can, but…it might take another year or two to approach his potential. They don’t need him to reach his ceiling now to be a great team, but when his plates become easy transition from one to another without missing a beat, he’ll be at his ceiling…MVP caliber! We need to maintain patience beyond year three.
Wdym bust? Bruh yall are so spoiled I swear. Not every NBA player becomes Kevin Durant or Lebron or MJ or even James Harden level. He's fcking 21 years old wtf is this trash take. Let the kid develop, he started 2 years without any vets and garbage coaching staff in a rebuilding broken team and yall expecting him to be a superstar at 21, in his 1st year with a real coach and finally good coaching staff and roster. WTF??? You clearly have very low IQ. Get your sht bro together this is why you only have 5k subs.
Devin Booker was not this nice at 21, 20. The only skill the Book has over Jalen is shooting really if we're looking at trajectory. Book just became a facilitator a couple of years ago. I think it's obvious that Jalen will be the best two guard in the league in years to come. Saying that scoring is ancillary is wild when it's the best skill set that you can have in the NBA. If Giannis averaged 15, he would be a good player, not a great one, and certainly wouldnt lead any team to the championship. You can say that for every superstar that lead their team to a championship btw and historically scorers are the best players meaning scoring is their best skill. I could see if he was a career 18 to 20 ppg scorer then we're talking 6th man, but that's clearly not what's happening here. You don't avg 25 and come off the bench. It is much easier to find utility players around scorers than it is to have scorers who do it all. Jalen really just needs to be a better off ball defender everything else can be built around him. This is why guys like A.I, Curry, Kareem, Jamal Murry, Book, Kobe could win because teams were built around their weaknesses whether it's passing or defense it's easier to fill that void than to try and find a guy that's gonna give you 30 like Green will the further we go into his career. If Green were a helocentric player than it would be different, but Green does not need the ball every single possession to be effective like Harden or Luka, Trey young etc. Those players will never win because they can fit within a scheme. Potential means everything btw, you don't get drafted in the lottery unless we see potential. Jabari is a prime example we all know that Jabari is capable of one day being a shooting specialist that can scorer from anywhere on the court, but if you watched you know that he also has the potential to be the best defender in the league as a big/wing especially on the perimeter as 6'11 forward who has the lateral movement of a shooting guard. I know you trust the process like you said on locked on, have faith I think it's a sure thing with Jalen, Tari, Jabari and Sengun probably Amen as well we're definitely gonna get a chip maybe even two or three if we can keep those five
Jalen has always wanted to be great. Just didn't know how and didn't have the infrastructure. He put up numbers regardless. If we win 15-20 more games and he puts up the same numbers more efficiently, that's going to elevate his stock tremendously.

Green is not mature enough. His mindset is still like that of a kid.
Really hope JG takes that next step if not…..
team JG . FAV PLYR FR. HIGH HOPES
Ah C. Wood the good ole days. JG and all the others definitely got some bad habits from that dude. I think JG will do his usual post all star game inprovement. Next 24 25 season I expect Jalen to really blossom. This year is about wholistic play.
Franl salute!! I said it since he got drafted, he got that all star potential. At the same time i think his greatness will be determined by how much work they are willing to put in. Same thing for the other guys. Potential can only take you so far , to take the next step, work has to be put it. I do think this year or next year jalen gets to the all star game.
This might be his breakout year.
Bust fa sho
I don't think he breaks out this year. He'll start laying the foundation for his future success this year. I think Ime has to undo some of the poor habits developed in the old regime. Once that's done, and Jalen embraces the "work" that it takes to be great, he'll start having fun. With a solid foundation, an improved team culture and Udoka's tutelage….he's gonna be special
