In the letter I wrote to ownership 3+ years ago regarding the WNBA they should call the team the Riveter’s a homage to Rosie and the East Bay (Richmond). Ideally they play in Alameda in a smaller arena on the former navy base or at Oracle…providing jobs to those in the east bay…where the roots of basketball run deep. They should also bring up the Santa Cruz G League team to play in Oakland and/or Alameda. The ferry connection to Chase would be cool.

Finally, I find it so difficult to root for a team from LA, Seattle, or Vegas. I hope this will make it easier to get a TV deal so we can watch games. At least the finals this year have national broadcasts.

Some of the WNBA matches I saw was just…sad honestly. There are skilled players here and there but they are really not up to the same standard of NBA.
