good to see what we’re going to be working with going into this season. still a little rough around the edges but excited to see more!

  2. redbrick

On the bright side the Lakers didn’t perform nearly as terribly as the Dodgers

  3. Outrageous_Hamster_6

Only preseason. Nothing to trip about. We most definitely won’t have another 2-10 start.

  4. Both_Ad1186

Cam Reddish? More like Cam Rubbish. There’s my overreaction.

  5. Respectable_mouse

Max Clamps Christie need all the backup 2 guard minutes. Looks amazing

  6. bruddahmanmatt

Max a real one. Boy bout to break out this year the way AR did last year.

Castleton has a nice, soft touch and great instincts but that boy just got introduced to NBA pace. Give him a year or two and he could be another Zu as long as he’s able to keep up with the speed of the game at this level.

  7. subzero12320931

Max could contend for the 6th man role if he keeps playing good.

  8. Here comes the Doomers…
“OH NO SEASONS F*CKED EVERYTHING IS ALL F*CKED JHS IS A BUM REDDISH IS ALSO A BUM WOOD SUCK WE SUCK SEE YOU ALL NEXT SEASON”

  9. Regardless of abysmal performances from some players, I do think vincent and Hayes are gonna be nice pieces with their hustle and defensive effort

  10. conwaythemachine

Saw some good and a lot of bad

AD, DLO, Max, Hayes were all great

I hope AD’s 3 ball is officially back

Wish we saw more from Prince and Gabe

Jalen isn’t NBA ready yet he needs some time in the G league

One glaring problem I noticed all night was how awful our rebounding was. Constantly giving second chance points to the Warriors every time they missed a shot. That’s a habit that HAS to be addressed NOW

Our perimeter defense is noticeably weaker without Dennis

Not worried about the shooting that will come

  11. Westlad

Refs getting their revenge for Eric Lewis.

  12. Tall_Succotash

    Positives: AD,DLO ( revenge szn!!),Max, Gabe
    Impressed with Hayes as well.
Rui was good but I know he can play better,
Rooks are rough so hopefully G league does them well.
Idk what to think about wood, need to see more.

  13. Cul_what

JHS really needs to work on them shots but I really love the effort and energy he gives and as we expected MAX CHRISTIE IS THE TRUTH!

  14. Our top 8 looks great. Everyone else TBD.

  15. It’s fine, JHS should just get G league minutes to develop , he is not ready to contribute , Hayes looked pretty good, I would give minutes to Hodge, Wood didn’t like his overall effort , max played great

  16. wali_burt

Loved how AD came out. Hate to lose even if it don’t count!! Hoops is back tho bby 🔥🔥🔥

  17. AD, DLo, and Max looked great.

Rui looked mostly good, just didn’t get a couple of calls.

Gabe and Prince looked about as expected, only knock on Prince was him not hitting so,e open threes and not getting any benefit of the doubt from the refs.

Reddish looked about as expected too, which isn’t a good thing. Hoping he pops, but I, not hopeful.

Wood, meh. He showed some ability to get his own shot, but he had some lazy plays on defense.

Hayes was active and long, but also meh.

JHS was bad, but I do like how he can get where he wants against smaller guards (and most guards are smaller than him). He just rushes his shot. His vision seems a little poor, though.

First pre-season game. Flush it down and on to the next.

  18. DonChile27

mofos talking about jhs like he was a lottery pick. he got to much responsibility tonight with bron and reaves back he won’t have the ball in his hands as much. he still raw but common y’all too much

  19. SnooCupcakes9716

It was the first preseason game so no judgment.

  20. myelrecsy

All these young players’ performances just shows you how special AR really is, you didn’t see him have these bad moments when he was a rookie, he really is one of a kind. Basketball IQ really goes a long way.

  21. LearnedToe

Ppl need to CHILL with the overreactions. Y’all sound stupid af.

  22. GutsTheSwordsman

Hopefully Reddish can come back in 3-4 weeks.

Prince as a vet had a weird game but he was prob with a unit he hasn’t played with a bunch.

Our best looking “draft” prospect is Hodge at the moment.

    Christie looks very good.

Christian Wood at the moment does not look like a team player on offense or defense, very strong offensive game if he’s the first option off the bench tho. (Had flashes tho of using his length and size defensively when he tipped a pass on the 3pt line).

Excited for more Lakers basketball, its preseason and can only/will get better going forward.

  23. MacePaladin

Just glad there’s Lakers basketball again. To the ones already seriously cementing their opinion on a 20 year old’s first ever NBA ish level game like that’s all he’s ever gonna be… y’all wild lol Pathetic af 😂

  24. 2people1luv

I LOVE Max Christie. He gets his points within the system, he’s long, he got stronger, he’s a really good defender and he’s extremely fundamental. He doesn’t force much and he has a high ball IQ. He’ll definitely get those backup SG minutes.

  25. Low_Sign5589

Ham said JHS is the Mvp in training camp. I knew he’s lying

  26. flowermoon24

GSW roster is interesting.. theyre a complete team imo. You added a point god in CP3, and they dont look small out there like what everyone was saying. Saric is like 6′ 10″, he looks just as tall as Wood, but have bigger body. Looney still out there, defended wood well even blocked him. And DG didnt play too. Their defense gon be even better by the time Green join them. Kerr probably licking his chops, with how many line up he can experiment with.. CP3, Steph, Klay, Wiggins, Looney? Steph, Klay, Wigs, DG, KL? Steph, Klay, CP3, Saric, Wigs so everyone can shoot 3s? Didnt see this coming, wont deny. But GSW is interesting, they have everything they need. They gon be deadly if they decide to go with CP3 as their 6th man, leading the bench. Still one of the highest IQs in the game.

  27. Dj3garrett

You guys can say it’s only one preseason game but what is JHS even good at? He just seems solid but solid players that can’t shoot and aren’t very athletic don’t translate very well. I don’t think he was a good pick. He didn’t look good in summer league either.

  28. LAKERSBETTERTHANYOU

JHS, Reddish, and Wood gonna keep the benches nice and warm except for certain situations.

Main bench rotation should just be Gabe, Christie, Prince, Hayes, and either Rui or Vanderbilt depending on whoever starts.

  29. MazKhan

Max christie deserves AT LEAST 20 min a game, feel like cams game will be decent with Lebron and reaves getting him easy buckets but max is better to me

  30. AD, Dlo and Max looked great. Rui, Hayes, Gabe and Hodge looked good. Vando was decent and if he can continue to make some 3s he’ll be worth his contract. JHS looks like a longterm project which isnt a problem since he has so many guys ahead of him. Prince didnt have a good game, Cam(hope hes not hurt) had a really bad game. and wood showed some of what we heard, had some good plays on offense and some decent defensive plays but more often than not looked meh at best.

all in all there were some really good things and some things that need to be worked on. on to the next game

  31. Choice_Marzipan5322

My main concern is JHS the point guard. He looked uncomfortable handling on ball pressure, fumbled passes, threw bad outlet/entry passes, bad on court positioning. Notice I have not even gotten into his shooting or defense

  32. Chriscustomkicks

Really surprised at how versatile Hayes looks defensively. He looks like he’ll be fine guarding wings which makes him wayyy more playable.

  33. lakernation21

Not only does max need more minutes, he also needs more touches and shots. Dude is super efficient like Reaves

  34. JilJungJukk

Max fucking Christie was killing it man, we would totally need his skillsets I hope what I saw today is a real thing.

  35. blacPanther55

I could see a scenario where Hayes actually does start.

  36. WayneOnABeat

Vanderbilt was up to his old ways! Loved he went 2/3 on 3s. Still a beast defensively
Rui is going to have a monster season! He will start at some some point of the season imo
AD looks like he’s ready to start the playoffs! Outside shot may be back👀
Vincent didn’t show me enough this game but I like his energy on both sides of the floor. Aggressive shot taker!
DRussell got a chip on his shoulder! The kid is a flat out wizard and can score at his own speed
Max looks good man. I’m really impressed and think he should be at least second of the bench to start the season.
Wood didn’t roll enough for me on those pics. He was popping out on 80% of his picks and it should be 50/50. I want to see his back against the basket more
Reddish still looks lost on offense imo. In will say he got his hands on a lot of balls.
Prince a fouling machine 😂 he will bounce back I’m sure
JHS has a Nba buddy but man is this kid selfish. Holds the ball way to long and can’t shoot for shit. Interesting to see how he plays beside Bron will likely determine how much gleague time he gets
Hayes might be a fan favorite this year. You guys saw how he was switching onto guards! The guy can move and got some real bounce.

Outside of Hodge who has quick feet and can flat out score, everyone else was trash (Lewis, Castleton, Fudge).

  37. 69foryourthot

Pussnation throwing a parade as we speak

  38. lionking25

Max should be our backup SG. Kid is ready.

Hayes is pretty solid he deserved more chance.

Gabe Vincent is legit, nothing more to say.

Reddish and Wood needs more observation especially after Bron and AR come back. If Bron and AR can’t activate these two. They are done.

Prince had a bad game but he is a vet, he will figure it out. JK is a tough matchup for him ngl.

    Hodge maybe semi-servicable.

JHS, Lewis and Castleton should spend most of their time in G league. This isn’t their season yet.

  39. YoRompo

AD and Dlo looked awesome. Rui, Vincent, and Vando looked solid. That’s at least 7 guys guaranteed plus Bron and Reaves who the Lakers can rely on every night. Wood looked okay and will look better with Bron. I was impressed with Hayes. Hayes has Damian Jones size and athleticism with Wenyen Gabriel hustle. Max continued to impress. The two way guys and the rookies won’t see much time this year but the South Bay Lakers should be good.

  40. tokyo_bee

At least both Reddish and Wood are on minimum deals.

  41. TorontoRaptors34

Team showed a lot of things to be excited for.

  42. Boots622

Hodge is the clone of KCP, he could get real minutes. Hayes is explosive. Max will make all stars, he’s more than a role player. Fino was nervous give the kid time. Vando looks great. Wood may need to get released if he doesn’t cut the shit.
