Cronin here confirming what is pretty much known. Both sides stuck to their guns on what was best for their interests, and we see the results. Cronin reiterates there was a good faith effort to build around Dame. And that he understands the strained relationship after “going through it” all summer. I think there is too much love and respect in this situation for it to stay sour forever though.

There are no villains in this story to me (well maybe Goodwin). I actually think Cronin came out looking good in the eyes of the league in general considering what he inherited from Olshey. And any hit to Dame’s reputation will be forgotten in short time.
