  1. Grayson Allen is gonna be the X factor in the long run. I'm calling it right now. Hooped his ass off coming off the bench. He's only gonna mesh even more. But can we also talk about just how DAMN good our starting 5 looked in the 1st quarter? 46 in the first on 85% shooting? SHEESH!😤🔥

  2. During the course of a game you are going to have only 2 of the big 3 on the floor at the same time. Being the 3rd guy when one is taking a breather is the role Allen and Wantanabe are going to fill

  3. Grayson has to be the 5th starter!!! KBD was slightly disappointing considering he was supposed to be the clear cut favourite to win the starting spot from okogie

  4. If the coach is smart , you would have Allen come off the bench , so the Suns can have that shot creation off the bench .

  5. Great points by both, I think it matters less who starts than who finishes the games. If Allen is hot and we need buckets, get him out there – if it's more important that we stifle a hot player on the ops, sic Okogie on them. I do lean more towards Okogie starting for the reasons Sundo pointed out.

  6. I think we could definitely use Allen's scoring off the bench. However, if he was inserted into the starting 5 I wouldn't be upset necessarily. Just be glad the coaching staff has to make these tough decisions.

  7. No way in hell would I want Okogie in the starting lineup. Bates-Diop should be the starter at the 3.

  8. Grayson was awesome on the other hand nurk and kdb was a little bit of a let down…. I kno it’s preseason but still

  9. A "non-starter" can end up getting more minutes than a starter. I like Grayson first off the bench in the 1st qtr, and then play latter part of the 3rd, and alot in the 4th, especially playing in tight games. He will be a X factor type player, and make alot of great plays at crucial times, both on offense and defense.

  10. As a Suns fan this is everything we could ever ask for!! If this doesn't end up in a championship, although disappointing, at least we finally have an owner that cares and will put in the money and effort to make us better! Also, i think it makes too much sense not to start Grayson over Okogie. He is a far better shooter than Okogie and also nearly as good of a defender, although I would like to get KD over to the 3 and Keita or Yuta at the 4.

  11. Who's to say Allen can do defense and shoot 3's? 3 and D, isn't that what Okogie is supposed to be and can't? I say put him there for a while and see how he does. The playoffs are a long way away.

  12. Josh okogie is perfect with the big 4 . Allen perfect of the bench . It doesn’t hurt to take a look at that lineup tho with Allen

  13. I’m with Sundo leave Allen on the bench unit. Coach won’t play an all bench anyway he will mix and match so he will play with some starters most of the time. Okogie if Kd plays PF, Metu/Diop if he plays SF. Allen could be sixth man of the year in this role.

  14. We need Allen off the bench for the bench production and his defense. We have enough fire power in the starters.

  15. 2 things here:
    1. Y'all are overreacting a ton to this performance, grayson allen isn't gonna be this good most of the time and likely isn't gonna be the 5th best player whether he is a starter or a bench piece.
    2. We don't necessarily need a 5th guy to be starting night in and night out. Him, Okogie, KBD, and Yuta all have different skillsets and if Vogel is smart he will use the right guy for the right situation. There will be nights where one goes hot/cold and gets a ton more/less minutes than is normal. As for who gets the first run at it, we might bring Okogie out to match Luka or another bigtime guard/SF and give him a ton of minutes, or run KBD a bunch to protect Durant against bigger PF's or lock down bigger wings. Grayson will be used when there is a dangerous perimeter threat but not so dangerous that the "flex" spot is used on Okogie, the worst shooter of the bunch. Yuta is probably gonna get the least starts and will be used for the absolute best offense if we aren't scared of any perimeter threat. However more important is the closing lineup and depending on how the game goes any of them or even a few others like Godwin or Little might get a few closes if they are hot and playing great D
