Last year, this team started 5-4 through its first 9 games. Hardly that surprising for a team that finished 42-40. But 3 of their first 4 losses came in OT *by a combined 7 points*. There was the home opener loss to the Jazz. There was that blown game to the Lakers. There was another loss in Atlanta. And as we saw down the stretch, every game matters. Hell, you could make a case that they came out flat in the season finale against Minnesota because they couldn’t finish off the Grizzlies in regulation.
5 minutes on the clock. Crunch time situation. What’s the plan? This coaching staff and players need to be ready, injuries or not. It can’t just be “Zion paint bucket”, “Ingram mid-range”, or “CJ 3”.
