  1. Their priority isn’t maximizing wins. The coach said in his training camp interview that the young players are the priority for development, implying that they are the core and will get the maximum MPG and will be the dominant players on the team. I consider "the new guys" as Deandre, Shaedon, Ant, Scoot and Williams; Grant will also see a lot of minutes to showcase him for the Trade Deadline.

26 minutes for Scoot, Shaedon, Ant, Jerami and Deandre; 18 minutes for Malcolm; 22 minutes for Robert and Jabari; 24 minutes for Matisse and Toumani. Showcase Ant and Jerami to maximize their Trade Deadline value. I predict a .330 Win %, which is 27.

  2. I'm actually excited because we have Ayton with a more than solid backup! It will extend both of those centres careers and make their productivity really stellar. A block party a comin

  3. On media day, I think I saw you sitting on the right side of the room in a sweater. Since you said you were once a journalist, I think it was probably you. Great to see that you're still involved with the other thing you love. If I'm wrong, you have a doppleganger that simply decided to not wear a T-Shirt to media day . 🙂 Cheers Mate.

  4. I personally think he can be the "Ewing" of the generation to Jokic and Embiid's Shaq and Hakeem. Should be an elite prime.

  5. I;m old. How old? I was pretty young, but I remember 1975 pre-season. Despite the fact thatPortland had a lot of new players and very low expectations, I was very optimistic. They ended up being far better than anyone imagined, even though they only won 45 games in the regular season, they ended up winning the chamionship.

Call me delusional, but I get a similar feeling. Not for a championship, but for a playoff team.

    Lets see.

  6. As a featured option in an up tempo offense playing with a passing PG I think the ceiling is more like 25 & 12 with good D.. which is easily a top 5 center in the game.

  7. Did Monty not talk to Ayton, or did Ayton not talk with Monty? If the latter is true, I would want to check in about Ayton's mental health, and ensure the team provides therapy/DBT.

  8. man this video was just cringe. Ayton's ceiling is 8 ft tall. He's already 7 ft tall. He doesnt have that high of a ceiling.

  9. I am encouraged by the offensive firepower of incoming players but I am even more encouraged by the defensive prowess of many of their new and returning players.

  10. You can see the weight has been lifted off Ayton the way he talks and gets excited, that’s huge for his productivity and ability to reach his true ceiling. Don’t know about you but when I’m working somewhere I hate going to deal with I don’t work nearly as hard or effective as when I’m someplace that celebrates me. Let’s go RipCity!!!

  11. I like what the Blazers have done this off-season. Cronin did a good job in terms of getting value back. However, Ayton is soft, I’m not a fan, I think he’ll be a disappointment.

  12. Don’t put expectations on Ayton, he will let you down if you expect him to live up to his full potential

  13. Trying to think of “a former Blazer” Ayton reminds me of… I’d say that comparison would be Jermaine O’Neal.

He was one of the “best Blazers that got away.”Multi time all star.

    That’s a VERY GOOD comparison.

    Great move for Portland.

  14. I heard he needs to make way better decisions in his personal life…moving a porn star to PDX. 😢
