I like Otto’s game, I think most Raptors fans won’t easily forget how he absolutely clamped and dominated Derozan during the infamous Washington sweep, but he did get his max contract and basically disappear.

It’s harsh but it’s not entirely wrong, however I hate when people hate on contracts after the fact, especially when they applauded it before

Sure it’s a fair comment. But after reading the article, it’s funny that Jackson says OPJ got $100 mil in Washington and ‘we haven’t seen him since’ but I think even casual fans remember his contributions to the Warriors most recent championship moreso than his Washington days.

I’m going to be extremely and bluntly honest. The NBA needs to look into these “injuries” players have. Because a lot of the “injuries” coincide with big paydays and players just not wanting to play. Point in case: Ben Simmons. Like many NBA stars have said, some guys are just here to make money. Otto is an example of a guy who literally signed with Toronto and never once showed up. He perhaps will play out his whole contract “injured”.

Stephen Jackson is lucky he didn’t see jail time and had a career. Man needs to keep his opinions on other peoples money to himself.

There are a lot of former players that are salty. I’m guessing Stephen is counting other peoples money and seeing he brought in 65 mil and Otto, who he thinks is worse than he was, (he’s most likely right) will have 132 by the end of his current contract.
Otto was a 3rd overall pick and made bank year one, Jackson was a 2nd rounder that beat the odds. He would have made way more coming into the league 10 years later like Otto but how do you hold that against him?
I mean if you really want to beef why not look at Tyler Johnson’s 54 mil in earnings over 354 games and avg’d 9 pts.
At least Otto is at 511 games and over 10 pts.
Jackson making 858 games is really impressive.

I mean he’s not wrong either. He really went from a max contract to a min contract. And what he was saying about those contracts is right, ppl see that Jaylen brown contract and are going to go at him, esp after seeing how he played this past playoffs.

Stephen Jackson is a fucking idiot.
Anything he says, do the opposite, think the opposite.
