No offense and I admire the dedication but TL;DR… other than his usual hustles the most intriguing part of his game is his court awareness and passing ability. He’s done it a few games when he had the leeway to make risky passes and I’d say about 25-50% of them connected like that one play against Boston 2 days ago when he just flicked the ball and IIRC IQ caught it right under the rim (but had to pass out to Fournier who’s open and sank the 3).

The other part of his game I hope he works on is be able to shoot corner 3’s. I remember last preseason when he could shoot it (albeit not at an amazing rate) he made a couple, but then forfeited that idea when real games began and he just wasn’t that great at it. Opening up the paint could really help off the bench guys like DDV and IQ. I’m not hoping for 40% but if he could hit those at 35% that’s enough for teams to not leave him wide open.

I know people poo poo on the “stand in the corner and shoot 3’s” like what Obi had to do, but the fact is the ability to shoot corner 3’s is a low hanging fruit skillset that can increase a player’s value significantly.

Hartenstein role chaanges when he plays with the 1st unit v 2nd unit. With the 2nd unit we use him as a playmaker and there is more movement without the ball. With the starters he basically plays the Mitch role of protect the paint and rebound.
