The Hornets Have Finally Given Up On Kai Jones…

The Charlotte Hornets have waived Kai Jones according to Shams Charania and the Athletic. This comes after he requested a trade on Twitter on Monday. The team had already announced that they would have the former first round pick away from the team indefinitely and that there was no timetable for his return. That report came after Jones had an offseason filled with erratic behavior. This summer he had been dancing on instagram live, posting nonstop on Twitter with weird emojis, saying he’s better than MJ and LeBron, trash talking his own teammates, and even recently releasing rap music. It’s clear he has some sort of substance abuse, and that something just isn’t right. It’s led many fans across the league to believe that the 22-year-old would be out of the league very soon. And that time might already be now. If the team that puts up with domestic violence doesn’t want you, then that’s probably a bad sign. We’ll have to see, but I’d say he should seek help before he tries to return to the NBA. If another team does end up signing him, it will almost certainly come with a stipulation of required therapy and drug rehab. It’s an unfortunate turn for someone who had a lot of potential. He’s legitimately one of the most athletic guys I’ve ever seen at his height. The way he moves for a near 7-footer is just ridiculous. But now it feels as if all that talent has been wasted. Since he did request a trade, maybe this is what he wanted, but it feels unlikely that he’ll just be able to sign with whatever team he’d rather be on. The Charlotte Hornets Have ended the Kai Jones era.

Think about subbing, I’m on the road to 11k!!!

  1. Thanks for showing his highlights. Obviously a very skilled player with loads if raw talent. Charlotte doesn't develop any player and dude is a 1st round pick. Something's amiss.

  2. typical Capricorn (most athletic) the ones that endure the most karma and suffering, from every mistake
