Kristaps Porzingis impact on Boston Celtics offense, Derrick White perfect after ESPN disrespect



The Celtics beat the Sixers again on Wednesday, but there was no Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, or James Harden in the game. On top of that, Boston’s four remaining stars only played 17 minutes. But John Karalis of Boston Sports Journal thinks we can already tell that Kristaps Porzingis is going to unlock a ton for the Celtics offensively. Also, Derrick White plays basically perfect basketball on the day ESPN leaves him off their top 100 players. Plus, Jrue Holiday looks more comfortable, Payton Pritchard is in a groove, Sam Hauser found his (so did Svi Mykhailiuk), and … are the rest of the guys getting a fair look or is the schedule robbing them of their opportunity to be properly evaluated?

    imo the top 5 bench players so far this preseason: pp>svi>hauser>banton>queta

    this tells me we have so many wings. we dont need all of them, especially the ones who cant shoot. do we really need all of brissett (couldn't even make layups), walsh and stevens when we already have svi, hauser and banton? imo we can cut/trade 1-2 of those to address a clear need: we need a better backup big. kornet has been a disappointment, gabriel non-existent and our best big is the young 2-way guy?i'd rather cut/trade 1-2 of those wings who can't shoot, along with the picks and TPE for a better young big from memphis, SAS, OKC or charlotte.

    Celtics NEED to get somebody better than Luke Kornet to back up Al and KP. He’s not good. He’s uncoordinated, unathletic and slow. Rebounds literally bounce off his hands, he sets moving picks every time which will eventually get called bc he’s not good enough. The dude is flat out NOT a piece on a championship contender. I’ve felt this way since last year, nothing to do with anything this year. You don’t have to be an expert to see that the dude isn’t good enough to be on this team and that’s the one piece they need to add. Kornets replacement is that last part this team needs. Get a guy that can be part of the playoff rotation bc Kornet ain’t it.
