This list as a whole is pretty bad but I’m happy with Tatum’s placement.

Embiid at 3 is a fucking joke lmao dude misses half the year and then chokes in the playoffs. Tale as old as time

This is also the year people (r/nba) finally realise the gap between Luka and Tatum is minuscule and not the giant chasm they think it is

  3. Joten9123

Smh apparently the experts didn’t hear Tatum when he said he was top 5

Not something that I care or think about. So hyped for the season to start already.

  5. TheFirstExecutioner

Their top 3 is deplorably bad.

Here are my personal rankings and lmk your throughts:

    1. Nikola Jokic
    2. Giannis
    3. Steph Curry
    4. Luka Doncic
    5. Jayson Tatum (top fye)
    6. Kevin Durant
    7. Joel Embiid
    8. Anthony Davis
    9. LeBron James
    10. Jimmy Butler
    11. Devin Booker
    12. SGA
    13. Dame Lillard
    14. Kawhi Leonard
    15. Ja Morant

    I’d personally go

    Jokic
    Giannis
    Steph
    Tatum
    Luka
    Embiid
    LeBron
    KD
    Booker
    Butler

He must not have gotten a fresh cut in time for the voting

  8. Sea_Baseball_7410

He can be #20 as long as they win the Chip this season.

Luka is a great player but I’m starting to feel like it’s tough to justify that high of a placement. Every other top five player is good enough to elevate their team to a serious playoff threat seemingly except him.

  10. Bacca18121

I am ready to have the Luka is overrated conversation.

  11. G-bone714

Couple of trophies would probably bump him up a bit.

  12. ajaxtheangel

I dont understand how people are still putting luka ahead of him

I mean if we are ignoring durability then I guess the list is fair, but the best ability is availability so I have a hard time ignoring the fact embiid misses so much time. I’d personally put embiid at 6 and bump the rest up, but honestly that group is pretty interchangeable rankings-wise so I really don’t have that much of a gripe with it for now

  14. AmbitionExtension184

Wait so we care about these rankings again?

  15. I think there’s an argument for JT to be in the top 5 over Luka and possibly Embiid.

  16. DonJuanWong92

Not biased but the whole Celtics roster should be ranked 1 through 15 on espn.

Open for debate, Brad Stevens at 20.

Take a moment To reflect on how we got here. We used to pray for a superstar in the Jae crowder Avery Bradley days. It was always “how can danny get a top 10 guy?” Now we have a consensus top 8 guy, AND he’s home grown. AND we have a top 20-25ish guy AND I could keep going on about the additional star power. Come a long way

Edit: #WereOneSuperstar was the worst playoff team slogan ever lol

    #MY TOP FIH 🍀🍀🍀

also he looks buff here, LFG

Not having Jokiç number 1 is the most disrespectful thing ESPN has done in a while.
