What are your biggest on-court questions for the Pacers veterans?
You started off this podcast at 2x speed 😂 . Also can we get Robert Williams, Kai Jones? This defense is putrid.
Asking "Will Haliburton be as effective without Hield?" is like asking "Will Michael Jordan be as effective without Steve Kerr?"
The answer is, obviously – It's an absurd, laughable question.
3 teams that I think could be interested in Theis are Dallas, Houston, and the Clippers. Theis' ability to seal defenders was a weapon with Kyrie in Boston and it's easy to project him working well with Luka. Houston is looking to do something with KPJ's money if the Pacers just want picks in return for Hield+Theis; right now they're depending on Jock Landale as the backup 5 or small ball with Tate, a non-shooting 4. Clippers may give up on Harden, which also makes them a suitor for the Hield+Theis combo.
Id say Theis and McConnell could bring a worth it return
These guys having significant roles to me means our young guys aren't stepping up to surplant them. The 2021 Draft should have made these guys roles small if Duarte and Jackson lived up to their potential where they were drafted. The 2022 draft has pushed these guys back with Heild now off starter role and Nembhard now second unit PG. Can Shepherd do what Duarte couldn't in solidifying the wing role on second unit? The fact were still talking about these 3 being important just highlights the disappointment of that draft.
I GUARANTEE If You called TJ a 'Goofy' lighthearted leader and question his ability to be A 'serious' leader if needed or called for he'd be deeply offended.
You must be watching a different game then me because TJ is dead serious while on the court during the game every second of every minute. He literally never takes plays off.
I'm sure He wouldn't appreciate you making a mockery of his 3 point shooting percentage every time you bring it up like somehow it didn't count or doesn't matter. I'm sure he'd greatly appreciate that considering how far he has come and how much work he put in.

I'd consider starting Nesmith at SG or SF with Mathurin, or Nembhard. Yet with Nembhard out, I'd not be against starting Hield with Hali and Jarace at PF. Bring Obi off the bench if he struggles defensively. Give Smith C and PF minutes.
If you're playing Buddy at PG, start McConnell at PG and push Hali to SG lol. Let Buddy play PG with the 2nd unit. He might get burnt there even more. Some bench guards are quick.
