No idea how to feel about Trae
Thunder would never sign up for that Capela trade, but thanks for thinking of us.
Also great show. Trying to watch most of them. Cheers
Think y’all missing Jalen Johnson is about to bring
So I am just now listening to this episode after the 1st Preseason game was played and it's now the day of the 2nd preseason game.
I think people have this team pegged wrong. Quinn stuck his thumb in the media's eye by giving Bogi and Hunter a rest day and not declaring a winning of the PF position by starting both J. J and Bey in the Starting Lineup with Capela, Young, and Murray. And they looked decent, to be honest.
The effort was there from a defense standpoint. The Rebounding was A1,
But most importantly the Offense took shape. No one dominated the ball to Quinn's liking. The Offense started from different parts of the floor. There was a lot of off-ball movement and action. And Trae didn't always initiate the offense he played off the ball a good bit and came off action to not just shoot but pass to get others open.
So I think Quinn's theories and scheme tendencies he's trying to get the team to embrace are sinking in and well on their way.
Also, it would seem as though the Collins trade has been an addition by subtraction by allowing Quinn to use different line-ups without hesitation. And now whoever he plays at the 4 can put the ball on the floor, pass, and make a play. Or when it's Bey shoot with real accuracy. So it looks to be a win-win. So far anyway.
I will say this the team looks to have more talent than most thought. And the Parts actually fit. Which I don't believe most people believed on either account.
