(Himmelsbach) Derrick White’s extension talks continue, but the deadline is inching closer. The Celtics and White have until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 23 to agree to a deal. White has two years remaining on the four-year, $70 million pact he signed with San Antonio before being traded to the Celtics.

He’s the glue guy. Let him roam in Boston. Pay The Buffalo!

Celtics FO made it clear that buffalo is untouchable in trades. Pretty sure this man is getting paid, as he damn should
Please don’t be cheap
He can have my life savings if it helps
There’s no reason to rush into an extension this year.
Imagine locking up our top 5 for the next 3+ years
No brainer. Three additional years at max permissible. Around $85 million as I recall
I’m feeling like this is a deal that will get done a few days before the 23rd deadline.
100% speculating/projecting, but I’m guessing that Steven’s probably opened with a solid/respectable offer that gives the team the most flexibility. The team and White’s agent will then spend the next few days inching closer to a deal that makes all parties happy.
If: Vanfleet, Brooks=X, then: White=X squared; !,!mf
Wait, why do we need to make a deal now if he’s got two years left?
You get an extension….
Not even top 100. 2 for 40 at most.
Pay this man the max.
