Everything he’s been saying recently is perfect and really self aware (to an extent)
Let’s see how he can apply everything though

Did Dlo stayed in Temple during the offseason? He became mad humble

I’m loving this new version of D’lo.

D’lo is really turning into an anti-Westbrook.

I missed the 1st half, how was he defensively?

If Dlo really locks into this role we’re winning it all.

I really like this kind of mindset. Hoping he keeps it up.

I wholeheartedly believe if D’Lo can stay consistent on the defensive end and keep up his offense, he’ll super close or even better than he was his all star season.

As a Wolves fan I can tell DLo reaaaaally wants to prove his worth and stay with the Lakers. I’ve never seen him play with this much urgency.
Dude was a Lakers fan, got drafted by them, traded, and now has his second chance while playing with AD and Bron. It’s like a 2k storyline.

I love that he said this, that is a perfect player to mold his game after, considering what we need.

To make up for the lack of foot speed, lateral movement, and athleticism to recover: he’s cutting off passing angles, icing screens, taking away driving angles beating players to the spot rather than chasing them, and using his very long wingspan to contest, annoy, and just making shooting over/around him difficult. If he really commits to it, it could be like learning individual player tendencies, player “weaker” sides, and knowing where to funnel/lead players into bad situations.

if he becomes derrick white than lakers will win 65 plus games.
Js_On_My_Yeet
If this new D’Lo keeps up the entire season, I honestly think he can become at least a top 15 PG in the league.

Damn. That’s about as good as something DLo can say. I really like his mentality.

Really like d lo! Now let’s hope n pray this squad stays healthy!

Played well on the defensive end too. If this was a serious game in the 4th he wouldn’t have gotten benched like he would last season.

This is such a realistic answer. Who is this dude? He’s turned a 180 from his cocky rook year.

DLO is doing well right now but we’ll see if he can keep it up throughout the season. I think the first test is when he has a bad shooting night but still finds a way to stay on da court.

If you watch/listen to Through The Wire, this is true, Derrick White is underrated as fuck
