So much for it being a “preseason nothing injury”….

Same injury?

Always assume worse than what’s reported with mavs injuries. They notoriously downplay things

His left leg is a problem, lot of injuries starting to add up there.

9 days till season opener, hopefully he’s rested up by then. Strain isn’t too serious, so not that worried as long as he doesn’t continue to aggravate it.

I know doomers are itching to pounce on this but I’m still not worried. As long as he stays in shape. He looked excellent in the 5 mins he did play in Madrid and I fully expect him to be ready by opening night.

He played 5 mins in Madrid and was reportedly angry he couldn’t play more, so I serious,y doubt he suffered this “injury” in Madrid.

I’m gonna focus on the silver lining — the Mavs have a lot of guys that could definitely use an opportunity to play and prove that they can be useful, and find ways to play effective offense without Luka. Also, without Luka it should be easier to get guys on the same page defensively.
Ofc, all of that is only useful if Luka comes back at 100%, that’s as far as the silver lining goes.

I think other than worse injuries this preseason couldn’t have gone any worse

Is this why Casey Smith got demoted? It’s the same calf from the last time.

Unpopular opinion time: I’m tired of this mf playing basketball in the summer.
