I like Heurter, but he's not a star. They do need to be better defensively. If Durate can help with that, then that's what you have to do
The pairing of Duarte and Fox and then Davion and Huerter intrigues me. I hope he remains positive.

Prefer to see Duarte as the stater. Hopefully, his knee injury is minor
Harrison Barnes plus minus against the Warriors postseason was minus62 – worst of any player in the series. Huerter as bad as he played was only minus3. I still think the priority should be finding a replacement for Barnes because he has basically played for the opposing team in his last 2 playoffs. He's solid in the regular season Ill give him that, so maybe he can help the Kings win the fake midseason championship thing.
If Duarte can keep playing like this then maybe Huerter can be moved for a starting small forward
Gotta respect Coach Brown coming off a successful season and with how much success he had with this starting five, not worrying about optics to shake things up after Heurter was targeted by the Dubs in the preseason and just letting his man drove past him left and right. In his post-game, Coach Brown didn't minced words about all the things that Chris Duarte provided where Kevin is lacking, which was clear as day how much better we are with Chris in the starting lineup. This is what a championship team looks like. May the best man win the starting job!
Duarte is better suited for starting lineup.What can you do when your shot is not falling?Duarte plays defense and physicality is neede to set the tone.Huerter is just too lackluster.He consistently was abused the first 5 minutes of the game,to where we had to play from behind.He’s grown 4 th year veteran,concentrate on being a scorer as sixth man.

From overanalyzing his body language, he obviously doesn’t like the move to the bench. But more specifically, if you read between the lines, I believe he thinks he’s not the only one playing bad defense. He thinks a bunch of guys are playing bad defense and might feel like he’s getting unfairly targeted. Kvon I promise you, you’re not.
The issue here is the position he plays. Fox, Sabonis, & Keegan are obviously untouchable and have the highest ceiling on the team. That leaves Huerters position and Harrison Barnes position as the only way to improve our defense. Lyles&Sasha are probably not good enough to justify sending Barnes to the bench. So it leaves Huerter as one of the only ways to improve the defense. Duarte and Davion are much better defenders so if they can consistently do that while being able to spread the floor, that’s who will get to close the game in the 4th. Huerter has to be better plan and simple. He’s frikkin 6”7 as a 2guard. He’s got to find a way to have a presence defensively. If not that, at least the rebounding. He doesn’t rebound well either. So if he doesn’t do that, how useful is he if his shot isn’t falling?? This is why MB is using Duarte with the starters right now
Yikes it doesn't sound like Huerter wants to be on the 2nd team but it may be for the best.
We need to find a replacement for Harrison Barnes.
The crazy thing is HB is one of the worst defenders on the team and the kings reupped on him. Should’ve took a swing at Dillon Brooks instead for damn near the same price
The main reason this changes is anything….in my view is putting more pressure on Keegan to score points. Dunk Keegan Dunk on em !!! Huerter is pivotal on our team

K9 is very unreliable on defense and that’s something he should work on
