ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski gave Malika Andrews on NBA Today the latest update from the Bay Area surrounding Klay Thompson’s extension:
“I’m told that there has been absolutely no progress on a Klay Thompson extension in Golden State and that they are both still apart on years and money, and there’s a very real possibility that Klay Thompson goes into free agency next summer without a deal and I think that’s where it gets complicated for Golden State.”
Warriors Majority Governor Joe Lacob spoke to The Athletic on Klay Thompson’s contract progression: “We’ve had some very brief discussions at this point with his agent. But they’re very, very early. I fully expect that we’ll have some substantial discussions soon sometime and we’ll see if we can’t put something together that allows Klay to be here for a long time, which we clearly would like him to be.

I’m not worried at all about it cos they delayed Dra’s contract and people started doubting he would be extended but they finally did. Klay isn’t going anywhere, he’s gonna be extended at the right time with what he deserves.
Klay is my favorite Warrior, would hate to see him in different uniform. His shot is a thing of beauty, especially when it goes in.
