It’s crazy cause when the Lakers beat them in 2020, it was nothing but respect. Now it’s the other way around and the Nuggets been mad distressful. Mike malone's problem was always with the media and not the lakers, the only thing he had a problem with was fake retirement that everybody knew was to take the spotlight from nuggets and blame of getting swept.
Not 1 nuggets player even mentioned lakers once since WCF so if laker's players gonna be so sensitive about comments of the coach imagine being disrespected whole season while being #1 seed and getting MVP stolen cause of race baiting narratives.

Lmao, Malone was complaining about the media making the whole WCF story about the Lakers despite the nuggets winning, then about lebron trying to deflect with the retirement story despite the nuggets winning, and now months after his last comment, the Lakers and their fanbase are trying to make the story of last year's playoffs about them (AD basically implied they were good enough to win last year but had to spend too much energy to make the playoffs…. which, is true but again seems to directly try to undermine what the Nuggets did: Win)…. it's all a fascinating media story to me and fun to watch all the performative outrage going around.

Idk why laker fans are so butt hurt after this. Ya'll asked were asking for it. The media was gassing up the lakers after losing game 1 and 2, saying that "Oh, the Lakers figured the Nuggets out. They just need to make adjustments." Even when they went down 0-3, the media was saying "Can the Lakers come back from an 0-3 deficit?" Then here comes Lebron after getting swept after blowing smoke in the 4th quarter onf games 3 and 4 saying that he was thinking about retirement knowing that was complete cap since he literally stated that he wanted to play with Bronny before he retires. The Nuggets were just giving it back to the media since they got little to no coverage during that entire series. It was all, Lakers this, Lakers that.
