The problem with the Mavs is they have nothing to offer of picks.. What they'd have to do unfortunately is offer one of their newly acquired player's to a young team with maybe that 27 1st depending on the player.. Or do they keep them and upgrade with someone less expensive? They should look a little deeper. If they could even get a guy like Heartinstein, Kyle Anderson, even Andre Drummond.. Maybe Grizzlies would come off Steve Adam's if they could make a better offer and do a 3 team trade for Robert Williams. I doubt they have enough to land Williams. Probably not even Heartinstein, but he's gonna be an UFA this season. So if they can make a solid offer and convince him a good role. Maybe he'd stay idk why not. He's a solid player at C. Larry Nance and Xavier Tillman are good too. They may need to get a 3rd team involved, or get creative with a young player.. or unfortunately that 27 1st.. Which could be worth it if they can get the right C to help Luka and Kyrie. Memphis has 3 solid defending Bigs.. I'd try and see about a trade for one and then possibly a bigger PF type. Like a Covington, Kyle Anderson or even a scrappy SF like a JaVonte Green and Matisse Thybulle. If they could add one of those bigs, with a scrappy PF/SF.. They're in business. Portland will want a haul for Williams and even though they might not get him, or Capela. They could get the next best bigman in an upgrade from a team looking to swap one for them. Like Memphis, who I'd imagine has more picks.
Getting Knicks or Memphis involved in a 3 team trade is what I'd try to do. Capitalize on their picks. Who know's what they will have to come off of. Yet if Adam's, Heartinstein, or Tillman. I'm not sure you get Capela, or Williams with a 27, maybe a young O-Max and salary.. But then that's moving in a negative direction too.. Add a Covington or Kyle Anderson next to one of those bigs mentioned.. A Matisse Thybulle, or even a lowkey move like Andre Drummond and JaVonte Green who are solid defenders. If they took Andre, they'd at least have enough bigs around him to give him a break. Still a nice big body and better than nothing.
Saying this because Grizzlies and Knicks have the picks. They could look to upgrade with Williams, or Capela. Then you jump in to try and facilitate that move if they'd rather have a young player and possibly a 27.. All about what you wanna give.. Maybe you can ask for Matisse if you give a young guy. Idk.. Or a 4 team trade would be even better.. Options are endless then.
I think these young guy's the Mavs drafted playing some game's. Along with their pick will determine who they can target.. Or who they may want to target..What team's are willing to give for who. Anyone would be an upgrade. They gettin ran through fr lol.
