Didnt think too much other than he was a solid young player. I was moreso shocked to see PG and Kawhi end up on the Clippers together.

Excited AF. I watched him in the playoffs with the Clippers and knew he was special. Great talent and locker room guy.

I knew he was super underrated but I wouldn’t have guessed his current trajectory at all

I thought Presti pulled off a coup. First team All-NBA wasn’t in my mind, but I definitely thought he had All-Star potential.

I liked him a lot coming into the draft and then during his rookie stint in LA. Getting him with the picks definitely made the trade hurt a little less.
I thought he’d be a good player but I never imagined he’d be an All-NBA 1st team MVP candidate at this stage of his career. Sky is the limit for this guy. He’s already amazing but has areas that he can still improve on and become an even better player. Shai is a genuine superstar which are hard to come by. Can’t wait to see what he does next.

I had only seen him in that one clippers playoff series and thought he was really good and composed, especially for a young player.
I was excited to have him on the team, but wasn’t sure if he would want to stick around.

“nice we got Gallo!! We might actually be better this year with Russ and depth than last year!”
That was about my reaction

I honestly had no idea who he was. May have seen him play in a couple games but didn’t pay much attention to him

I doubt anyone thought THIS when he first arrived. I thought he would be nice addition and probably a starter, maybe 3rd option. But after his 2nd year in OKC, I saw the vision.

I thought he would be an all star level player but 1st team all NBA was not really in my cards when we first traded for him. Once I saw him actually play for us I knew we had something special. 2019-20 was my 3rd favorite Thunder season and he’s a huge reason why

Didn’t really watch him, then watched clippers highlights and thought he could be an all star player, possibly a primary scorer. Did not see All NBA this early on at all. Dude is unrelenting in grinding his craft. Gonna be ridiculous come his prime years.

I was really excited, mostly because Clippers fans seemed bummed to lose him. Didn’t know the legend yet.
