  1. Bless this bench! Our b and c guys played the main guys of a so called best team in the east and did just fine. Imagine if our starters were playing!

I will say it again, we can compete with ANY team without having a superstar. This season is going to be great.

    The Good:

Deuce confidence just looks through the roof. Biggest knock on him was his shooting which last year he shot well in the GLeague but never translated. He probably won’t be in the rotation but I think he could def be a consistent contributor if he was called upon.

Grimes was 7/13 from 3. I maintained this thought for a while but if Grimes isn’t leading the team in 3pt attempts something isn’t going right.

DiVincenzo is very disruptive defensively and can def see the impact when he’s on the court. He’s not a scorer but he is a great connector (think Lonzo Ball)

    The Bad:

Sims at the 4. I just don’t think Sims should be okay the 4 under any circumstance. You basically playing 4 on 5 and in some scenarios 3 on 5 with Sims and Mitch on the floor and the defensive upside doesn’t make up for how bad the offense looks. I could buy into if Sims at least attempted a shot outside the paint to show his ability but he doesn’t even do that. I pray this just stays a preseason experiment. Sims should only get minutes at the 5 if Robinson or Hartenstein sustain an injury.

Grimes, Hart, Mitch, and Roby looked good today. Roby probably going extra hard so he can get a rotation spot.

While the efficiency wasn’t there I’m glad to see some McBride aggression.
