He’s been the most fun to watch of our really young guys. He’s confident, skilled, and knows how to lean into his strengths.
I expect there to be a lot of struggle this season with most of the rest of our first and second year players.

Some good ones, but I’d say rated.

Sad that he’s not going to get many touches as the primary ball handler this season. His gravity + vision will be wasted a bit as a cutter and spot up guy.

It’s funny that he always looks directly at a camera when it’s around, but it does seem like he has really good awareness around him. He’s really just a natural on the court, his work ethic will be the limitation to his ceiling.

Better lob passer than Dame already. Air knows Air.

Nice. He will get better too. On some of these you can tell he has the vision and the idea to set someone up, but the actual pass is a little off. Once he gets the physical passing skills out of different situations down watch out!

His passes were nice in preseason too. And his ball handling/driving has definitely improved. I liked that they had him bringing the ball up. I hope they are grooming him for running the show as 6th man.
He still looked lost on defense, though.

But I was told he doesn’t know how to pass or dribble yet?

Some of these passes are absolutely brutal lol. But hopefully improvement coming.

Some of these are just okay, but he did have a few in preseason that made me say “oh really?”

Yesss! Awesome to see this together, I think Sharpe has made a ton of great passes that didn’t lead to assists too. This is the smoothness that made me write up that Sharpe will be an All Time Great post LOL. He didn’t play in college and came into the league and rarely made super immature mistakes like he was supposed to. That struck out to me about Sharpe as soon as he put a Blazers jersey on. I was expecting an early Anthony Edwards/Jalen Green shot selection from Sharpe. Just super chaotic and bouncing all over the place and having no idea how to play the game outside of being athletic. But, Sharpe plays very composed most of the time. He has his occasional crazy Dame/Simons 3 point attempt that can look bad but I am almost to the point where I want Sharpe to start playing point guard and run a ton of PnRs all game because I love his decision making.
