Mac McClung Magic Preseason Debut (10/10/23) Vs Pelicans Highlights (3 pts, 2 assists)

Mac had an efficient debut with 3 pts on 1-1 shooting, 2 assists, 1 rebound, 1 block and 0 turnovers in 5 minutes. He also looked good defensively. Sorry there’s no sound, it had cut out from my stream for some reason.

  1. Mac is the real deal .. a true Dog on the hard wood .. a pure shooter a freak athletically give him the ball let him show what he can do

  2. Ferocious Defense and Determined Offensive player !!! This Guy is on a mission !!! NO ONE Can handle his Speed 🚄 and Quickness … His Vertical and Speed make him a SOLID 🪨 Defender !!! 😁👍

  3. Call me CRAZY … But I think 🤔 Mac McClung could shut down Curry OR Any point guard 6'4 or smaller !!! Or AT LEAST minimize their effectiveness !!! 😁🏀

  4. Lots of love from Greece! To have fans from all over the world speaks for itself. We demand more minutes!! Orlando must understand something that other teams could not. That this man can defend, pass, shoot, dunk, bring the energy and many more… He is a winner, clutch player… what more can you ask from a player? Give him the damn opportunity!!! Listen to the people! In Europe we have had many short players playing exceptionally well, and even become legends. (For example Nick Galis). Mac, sending our love and our winning/fighting mindset (a.k.a. Mamba Mentality).🤩

  5. At :12, you can see that mac is an absolute glove on defense. The man tried to use the shifting defense to lose mac and mac stayed a half an inch from him at all times and caused him to take a wild layup while falling down. How many other guards do you see with this timing and effort on defense? Macs gonna be a problem in every area of the guard position ..

  6. Mac is clearly better than the third PG on every NBA team and in the right situations he could be a valued added primary back-up. His shooting, IQ, and decison making have greatly improved and he already had the athleticism. This doesnt make any sense, even with the Magic. I feel he's a better fit than Anthony. Am I missing something.

  7. Stevie wonder told me that Mac McClung should be starting in the nba. I believe if he can see that then I believe it as well.

  8. Poor kid will NEVER EVER get a LEGITIMATE opportunity… NEVER.

  9. Mac's improved a ton since coming out of college and is definitely good enough now to make a roster somewhere, but it sucks that he's trying to do it in Orlando. The Magic have way too many guards they're already invested in and their roster and rotation are 99% set. He looked solid last night in his minutes running the offense and did a good job not forcing anything offensively, but I think he'll need to play better on both ends to beat out Queen for the last two-way spot.

  10. As usual Mac gets disrespected with a measly 5 minutes, but as usual Mac delivers a nice all around game anyways. 20 minutes and he would have a very nice stat line but something tells me this coach has the same bias Cheeks did in Philly and won't give Mac a legit chance, or won't credit him even if he proves he belongs on the team.

  11. They have 0.0 intention of giving McClung any opportunity to shine. That's why they play him off the ball at the 2 spot and he is receiving 4 minutes a game. If he played the point and got minutes he could become a star and the NBA has no interest in that.

  12. McClung may fall into the same rut a lot of other talented players have had to endure by getting little playing time to show their full potential and only garbage time will highlight his skills. I hope this doesn't happen but I worry this is the path others will pave for him.

  13. Magic have a lot of young talent plus they had two first round picks this year Anthony Black (Point Guard) and Jett Howard (Shooting Guard/Small Forward)….
Mac may end up on there G League team if he not getting minutes in Pre Season

  14. To add, he is fast, real fast. Can be down the court and split a multiplayer crowded defense around the goal. Lets also remember he may be six foot two but can jump higher that a great many other players. One more thing. He has the sky hook with either arm. This man has it all. Go Magic.

  15. Reaves, McClung, P.Pritchard, Herro…lets see these guys get a chance for once, not like any of their offices are established for a title run in their minds.

  16. Being totally real, Mac McClung needs to transform his game to a John Stockton type point guard play style.
That's what's truly missing in his game is being a floor general and distributor. He has the scoring & athleticism, but he needs to become a Stockton/Steve Nash type of player to make it in the NBA.
