Hi Romp. Thank you for one more great video. So far, its only pre-season and already I see the change of culture. They look poised and they are extremely talented and athletic. Earning a win against them in the regular season this year will be tough.
Rockets are going to be a playoff team this year. Jabari Smith will be better than you think, but Jalen will probably still lead them in scoring. Look for them to come out strong the first month of the season, then have some growing pains before having an eye-opening second half going into the playoffs. I'm thinking about maybe a 7th seed. Udoka coach of the year.
The Rockets have been cursed ever since they retired the Ketchup and Mustards as their primary. Bring them back, and I bet the players will love it, too.
Great video. The core is ridiculous and I agree with you on how good they can be with one exception. There's a very real chance Jabari may end up being the best player of the bunch. He's looking like he's figuring things out. It's gonna be scary if they all pan out to their potential.
are you watching the same games i'm watching? smith is no slouch? uhm… he is the best player so far! sengun is gonna flop and you will find out how one dimensional he is. like i always say: you can make a 10 minutes of sengun highlights but i can make a 2 hours of sengun mistakes. very bad passes, turnovers, bad defense, terrible 3 point shoots.
Among the young Rockets players, I think Cam Whitmore and Amen Thompson have the highest ceiling. Tari Eason, Jabari Smith are in my 2nd tier. Jalen Green and Sengun have crazy offensive potential but their game has a lot of flaws too. A Sengun still hasn't developed consistent mid-range shot and J Green doesn't give effort on defense. They're still very young and I think they will improve under Ime Udoka.

There are teams that would build around Tari. I am personally just glad he's not a Spur. He is like a young, durable Kawhi Leonard with a personality.

I believe Smith will be MIP this year or next for sure. The rockets front office just made them a top 3 young team in just one offseason
