Another easy way to tell that this is a rivalry is how much fans care. Especially Warrior fans. If the Kings weren't on the Warriors level like they claim, they wouldn't comment & gloat the way they do. Unless of course they are as insecure as they appear. 😜

The warriors broadcast was meat riding. Not giving the kings any credit and saying they were “lucky” curry wasn’t hitting. Soon as they said that Keegan came back n splashed a 3 but got no love or recognition for it.

It stung. But I don't feel too bad. Steph had to do what he does to bring them back from 18… in pre-season. Shows how much of a keystone he is not only to the team, but to the franchise. He's deserves the respect given his pure ability to shoot the ball… but one Steph injury is the franchise's kryptonite.
I was very disappointed when the Kings gave Barnes the first big contract after seeing how he performed in the 2016 playoffs – completely crumbling when it mattered most. His plus minus was minus62 last playoffs for the Kings and Huerter was only minus3. Minus62 might be the worst of any player in any playoff series last year, but I havent actually looked it up. Apparently you put stock in plus minus yet you still think Barnes can help the Kings win it all. I don't understand
Kings shoot 3’s and don’t play defense. It’s not a rivalry if they never win. Warriors are in a different level and the media tries to make this a Nor Cal rivalry but the Kings are not there yet and won’t be for the next couple years. By that time the warriors stars will be retiring and it won’t be the same team so there is no rivalry here folks

Whats not said is 2 starters for GS didn't suit up. Also their 1st rd pick didnt suit up either. Kings shouldn't have lost.
That was an awesome game last night that absolutely felt like a regular season game. You could tell how bad the kings wanted it which made the Warriors perk up and want it for themselves. It was a lot of fun.
The best PG of all time just had to remind the kings who he was. Hope the bus ride home wasn't too long after that shot.
Keegan Murray looked great, I think the kings should have moved on from HB this summer and started Keegan at the 3 I think he's ready
Our guys need to feel like they are not considered a rivalry to the Warriors and in a sense disrespected (although it cant be true disrespect because we haven't won anything) by teams overlooking them so they keep a chip on their shoulders and feel a need to show everyone that they are the real deal. Good seasons aren't really remembered 15 years later but Championships are. Go Kings but last season didn't show anything other than that they were good enough to take advantage of health and win games they should have won. Now its time to show that you can win ANY game ANY day ANY opponent when shit matters. The West got deep so now we'll see if we got some dawgs on our team or pups!
Last year we were very healthy and we had a lot of people step up, but can they sustain it? Look at the games last year. We did a great job of limiting losing streaks but look at our losses. Versus GS 1-3 and playoff series loss, Denver 1-2, Dallas 1-2, Clippers 3-1 (They were hurt all season), Lakers 3-1 (They were a different team post trade deadline), Suns 2-2 (They got WAY better), Memphis 2-2, T-Wolves 1-2, Celtics 0-2, Bucks 0-2, 76ers 0-2, Heat 1-1, Knicks 1-1. Those are most of the playoff teams from last year. We look horrible against top teir teams (GS, NUGGETS, CELTICS, 76ERS, AND BUCKS), We break even with the lower end contenders (Lakers and Clippers were very bad and hurt respectively last year) We play down or up to our competition no matter what and rarely blow teams out by more than 10 pts. We have a long way to go.
Is it a rivalry? When have the kings ever knocked out the Dubz??? Only real rival is Lebrons lakers. You have to go back and forth numerous times in the playoffs or finals to be considered a rivalry. I count only one time the queens ever played the dubs in a meaningful series. So No, No rivalry here
