“I think [Highsmith] earned a starting job, but I don’t know how that works.”
Has Haywood Highsmith done enough to be the Heat's starting power forward?

Not sure he actually will but if you’re starting Lowry-Herro he makes more sense than Love to Guard point of attack
Over Kevin Love? Nah, Love’s size, rebounding, and outlet passes make us a better team. Went like 12-3 in the playoffs with him in the SL before the collapse vs Boston. Also a good 3pt shooter and veteran experience. Love would have to play himself out of the SL at this point.
I think they start Love but i could see them starting HighSmith towards the latter half of the season
He’s a better PF than K Love. He’s going to shoot a better 3pt % and he’s a ridiculously better defender. He should be the starter. No need to get cute with all this rotation stuff. Play the best players the most minutes
I said this a couple of days ago and I got downvoted.
Don’t think it’s important during the regular season. Playing Love next to Bam and Highsmith next to Bryant helps balance offense/defense. If Highsmith plays well he will get more minutes and an opportunity to close games which is more important than starting
What does it matter, K Love ain’t gonna play a lot of minutes anyways.
Starting or off the bench, the locksmith will get his minutes anyway. He’s earned em, and deserved them since last season tbh
Where will calebs minutes be?
I have no clue what the postseason lineup is going to look like but in the regular season at least I’d like to see some rebounding next to Bam. I do think Love will make Bam’s life easier taking on some of the bigger guys in the post and boxing everyone out.
I’m not convinced Love is going to be able to do even what he did last season but in the regular season at least I think we’ll be seeing a decent bit of him and Thomas Bryant.
It’s not a starting job, could easily be a closing job.
I love Kevin Love and thought he was close to a lock for his size, outlet passing etc.
In saying that, Highsmiths shot looks improved and his defense, especially next to Jimmy and Bam is incredible.
