I’m tryna figure out what cam reddish is good at

  2. No-Equipment-20

My biggest concern for the regular season is rebounding. It’s been a consistent issue in every pre-season game and we have the personnel to do it

  3. kanekikochaboggy

Laid an egg in this one. But had enough of pre season anyway.

  4. Navajo_Nation

123 to 100. wtf is that? Didn’t watch the game but don’t care if it’s just preseason that’s a wack af score to end it.

  5. MacePaladin

Well the good thing is we’ll never have to see that god-awful lineup ever again.

  6. Twinkqq

Stinky bench game & rebounding needs work

  7. vector_nova

I just want to see the lakers use Max in off-ball actions. Like please, Max is not a creator and his play-style just screams off-ball shooter.

  8. flipray87

Play Castleton and Hayes. Bench Woods and cut Cam.

  9. chugalaefoo

    Christian Wood is pretty garbage.

There’s a reason why the bum’s been on 8 teams in 8 years.

He’s a absolute iso black hole on offense.

Yea, he’s going to have some games where he’s just “on.”

But make no mistake, he’s not a winning basketball player.

  10. Probably Rui’s worst game as a Laker. Looked lethargic and lost out there, hope he’s good. Overall preseason had some really great moments and also some meh ones.

Still a bit worried about what our bench offense will look like so I wonder if Bron or Reaves gets used as a playmaker more out of the starting lineup.

  11. Nervous-Guava-7390

What I’ve come to realize is that Darvin Ham is a great coach but takes forever to figure out good lineups with new guys. What I’ve also come to realize is that Cam Reddish is absolute garbage.

  12. CockroachForeign6419

Love how we have no depth now cause a all bench unit with no Pg/Playmaker got outscored in 1 qtr.

  13. rational_overthinker

    I dont think I’ve ever seen a -35 before

    Just a little trivia:
Manny Harris has the lowest plus-minus in a game, at -57 versus the Lakers on January 11, 2011.

  14. lakerconvert

Overall terrible game. No way Cam is still in the rotation come next week. Wood also sucks. Prince looked alright, I liked his defense on KD. Rui looked off all game, but his teammates did an awful job of getting him looks. He’ll be fine. Bad games happen, and it’s good we got this one out the way in pre season. Honestly think the bench should be limited to Rui, Gabe, Vando, Hayes, and Christie

  15. death_by_laughs

Hopefully Ham learns to never leave the team without a playmaker on the floor.

Kinda like having 5 fingers but no thumb

  16. mordenak

    Final preseason thoughts:

I’m excited from what we saw from the core rotation players, all positive imo. All of the rooks need more time in the oven, but I think they all have potential. Off season pickups were great in Prince, Vincent and Hayes – Cam leaves a lot to be desired, Wood is 50/50. Christie’s development getting skewed by his role changing game to game, I think he’ll shine the most coming off the bench focused on 3 & D and not being asked to handle and initiate (could grow into that role later I think).

Glad it’s over, ready for the regular season to start!

  17. rational_overthinker

AD had twice as many blocks as the entire Suns team

  18. The body language of Rui was not good tonight.

  19. BocchiLover

I hope this is the last appearance of Pockets the Clown.

  20. itwas20yearsago2day

Wood is pretty bad, Reddish is terrible.

Reaves is also getting clowned on Twitter which is funny

  21. Cul_what

Im not kidding when I say I felt more safe when Castleton ran the offence instead of Reddish oml he’s a 2 pack of ass

  22. TurboZeus1

Nothing new the Suns been owning the lakers the last 3 seasons😂 no book or beal, Suns 2024🏆 loading

  23. everythingp1

This better be the last time I see Max, Cam, Rui, Wood, Hayes lines up.

  24. gratitudeisbs

Guys were over preseason its fine they were all thinking about denver

  25. ExamLongjumping8451

First half we had the motors running with AD and Bron shining. Our defense was strong but KD was being KD and kept them in the game. We played with no urgency which is obvious given this is a preseason game (no motivation from some core players –> Rui standing out the most) but I’m sure he’ll flip the switch when it starts to matter since he can excel in pressure moments from what we’ve seen in his playoff tenure.

Ham started to experiment with lineups in the third, running an offense with very little ball handling and a true PG running point and playmaking. We got outscored to hell at that point and became the nexus to the sub pointing fingers at individual players for being the reason we are losing. I think that lineup, Max, Rui, Reddish, Hayes, and Wood , should not be used again. But that’s the beauty of it, barring injuries*, Ham has a lot of combination options from the depth we have. We just need bro not to fuck it up lol.

  26. Ummm, this is the first game I watched the whole thing. Other games, I’ve just caught pieces here and there.

So far this team looks REALLY out of synch. I know it’s new players, preseason, yada yada… but they do not look like a team at all. They look like a bunch of guys playing for themselves. I thought the one thing Ham and cheese was good at was being a locker room coach that could get guys playing for each other. Just not seeing anything redeeming so far.

Phoenix on the other hand, knew what they were doing. They were playing Frank’s system well, and playing together. Ugh.

  27. Physical-Lie-345

Ham got seriously out coached today, I appreciate this embarrassing loss, they should be embarrassed. The team’s offensive inability to capitalize from those defensive stops at the start of the game set the tone. DLO was M.I.A, especially in the execution/no focus dept. AD is the defensive juggernaut for the team but struggled to get his offense going. Bron struggled at times and tried to score on certain plays that had a low percentage of being successful (shot selection). Prince and Hayes need to work on their defense and especially on not committing dumb fouls that only helps the opponent. AR also seems out of rhythm as of late. Definitely not a good showing , especially for the second unit. Just shows serious work needs to be put in to be able to exceed expectations from last season. Can’t start the season complacent.

  28. FGonGiveItToYa

I don’t get the comments. Who cares if reddish and wood are not good. we have them on vet min and there are 10 players ahead of them in rotation. Gotta fill the roster.

  29. Vando is clearly missing the Lakeshow.
    Gabe’s absence was crucial too

  30. graphitewolf

Suns and having some randomass pg that balls out against the lakers

  31. MelloGangster

Just play it through before the season starts

  32. Putting Cam, Woods and Hachi on the floor together without a playmaker is unwatchable. I’ve never seen worse offense.

  33. ajsantos21

Our defensive rebounding has been a problem. Vando will certainly help that. Rough 3rd q for the bench

  34. quickdrawmc_graw

feels like a livestream comment section in here lol everyone needs to chill out

  35. battle_franky

Metu and Eubanks is the kind of guy Lakers shoul get instead of Woods. Cam’s NBA career is over unless somehow he can figure it out

AD looks great, DLo is determined not to be a liability on defense and It started to paying off. If Woods have some of DLo mindset, there is hope for him to be still an NBA player. I would love to see Castleton make it. His IQ and effort is there but damn he’s slow

  36. GutsTheSwordsman

Hopefully this was just a “break in case of emergency” for Cam at PG.

  37. TorontoRaptors34

Nba reddit hates Reaves calls him a flopper

  38. TorontoRaptors34

This game is proof u can’t play without a real playmaker unless u got an incredible scorer that can carry. Lowkey u have that Rui just needs to be fed but the 2nd unit needs someone who can control pace and pass the ball.

  39. flowermoon24

Phoenix is deep af, beal and book didnt even play. KD only played 17 mins. Their bench is dangerous.. theres a reason when KD, BOOK and Beal play they score 70 at the half

  40. I’m pretty sure Cam played quite a few minutes in the first half, but I honestly can’t remember him actually doing anything. Completely invisible. Only thing that might keep him as a possibility in the rotation is that so far Max hasn’t looked ready against actual NBA rotations. Max didn’t pop today until the fourth when basically everybody was out and it was all third stringers.

Honestly, I kinda want the Lakers to cut Reddish and Wood already. It’s a knee jerk reaction, of course, and they have a chance to be contributors, but they haven’t shown a ton in the preseason. Reddish was hampered by the ankle for a couple of games. Wood did have a couple of decent scoring games. But they’ve shown very little overall, imo.

Schedule is really tough to start the season. Lakers need to play a hell of a lot better than they did in the third quarter today, or they’re going to start behind the 8 ball.
