We came into the game last night with an obvious mindset. All of this is from the 1st quarter only.

Yeah I noticed the same. Great to see after not forcing a ton of turnovers last year (4th fewest in the league). Despite all of our length, athleticism and defensive instincts it often felt like we didn’t pressure opposing offenses like we could have. Last night and this preseason as a whole has felt like a different story, we look relentless.

Good chemistry between KP and Pritchard to switch when Payton is stuck in post ups.

I didn’t think I could get any harder but they kept stealing the ball!

I’m omw to the doctor rn

But I thought our defense this year was gonna be abysmal without Smart Rob and Grant

I loved it when PJ basically gave the ball right to Tingus 😂

We are gonna be a fucking PROBLEM this year.

There are at least a dozen of you dirty fuckers that are already writing Pritchard-Porzingis fan fics. Admit it

The mindset was “let’s embarrass the Hornets like we do every single game”

Dude who thought he posted up Pritchard only to spin and find KP nearly crapped his pants. Hilarious.

KP is going to be the Key for everything this season. He’s going to have so many open looks and runs to the rim, he’ll score a lot of points, that’s a given his shot is pure and he can score at every level. outside of the obvious health concerns which is the case with anyone.

I most want to see how we holds up defensively, he has the ability to be an excellent shot blocker and paint defender. But can he be effective switching if he has to on a smaller wing or guard? Or will he be a target for guys like Dame. Can he hold his own against the likes of Giannis, Embiid, and Joker? I’m not so sure he’s ever been asked to deal with that kind of assignment on the defensive side.

Going for steals is hardly the best defensive tactic especially against good teams. But its good to see they are beimg aggressive and have the athleticism to follow through!!

This group is special, not crowning them or anything yet but they have been super fun to watch play as a team so far.

The Hornets suck, it’s preseason, yada yada all that aside.

I’m getting such good vibes from this team. They look scary good on both ends of the floor.
