Brandon previews the final Pre-Season game vs. the Toronto Raptors. He talks about whether Deni Avdija’s body language is an issue or not. Finally, he reacts to a Bleacher Report article about whether the Wizards should build around Jordan Poole and why they don’t think he’s that guy to build around.

  1. He wasn't passing the ball because he was hot in the other games he passed the ball it was his night and we knew he wasn't always going to pass he might be a better SG

  2. Anyone who isn't a casual knows that this is what Poole was going to be 😂 he did this shit in GS and all of a sudden people are surprised? Brutha gonna average 30 on 30% 😂

  3. Bro JP isn’t even the best player on the team, Kuzma is a better player, a 3 level scorer, will get you 4 to 5 assists and 10 rebounds a game plus play defense, JP is just a scorer and a streaky scorer at that, when he’s cold, his game is painful to watch.. put some respect on Kuzma’s name

  4. Brandon😢 come on man. Ty is the PG not Pool. Deni is not a option to score he can’t get it done. Mike, kisper, Kuz, Pool, are the guys to score. Trade Deni we have sacrificed too much for him.

  5. The wizards, lack size and physicality in the paint. They need a bruiser old-school guy like Moses Malone. Mr. 4-4-4. Kofi Cog-burn is that guy. 20 and 18. 7footer 275lb

  6. Somebody needs to be the chairman of the boards. The new school basketball take a shot and run back the other way is pathetic.

  7. centers responsible for rebounding and guarding the paint not shooting three-point shots. Rebounders, Rodman, Ben Wallace, Moses Malone, Kofi Cogburn

  8. I am a big Gaff fan. But, so far, I don't see any improvement. An 8 foot jumper would be so nice!!

  9. My prediction is Deni Will be traded at the trade deadline For a pic or a player swap. Don’t pay him not worth it.

  10. Your comments on Deni State is a high-level defender. But your comments on Rui after he put up 25 to 30 points is that he can’t defend. Just be fair, deni not a score

  11. Pick up Kofi Cockburn former center out of Illinois. Seven footer 280 lb that will give you 20 and18. And can compete with Joel, Embiid, in the paint

  12. Deni Will not be able to be successful with a spoiled attitude in playing the privilege card. Tommie’s gone so now he hast to Step up or get traded

  13. We still have to remember deni is going through alot with his country and stuff but that doesnt excuse the fact that hes simply not a good player Baldwin should get his minutes imo

  14. I think the long term "build around" should be centered on Coulibaly. While Poole and Kuzma both have 4 year deals, so the Wizards should give them the next 3 seasons and then either resign or trade them away.

  15. Brandon, you've said it yourself Poole must learn to distribute the ball if he wants to be considered as a next level franchise centerpiece.

Deni was right to be frustrated. Poole practically shot from the bleachers with two players in his face. He just got lucky, but on the average and over time it was a dumb shot to take when another player is wide open.

Today it was Deni. Tomorrow Poole might pull the same idiotic move in a critical situation rather that a meaningless pre-season game.

  16. Who are these ppl that u say are saying trade Deni?? I never hear that around town. Yall making that one up. We ride with Deni in the city…Wes needs to let him cook.

  17. I didn’t follow him in GS, but agreed, I haven’t seen a shred of arrogance

  18. I agree what you’re saying today but it’s funny how you ignored my Jordan Poole take! It’s all good slim, it’s only YouTube 👍🏽💪🏽

  19. I don’t think we have a third scorer, but if they play hard that’s all we can ask for in this rebuild!

  20. They killing Poole, that’s not fair give the guy a chance. They loved him in GS before the punch, now he’s in DC man they trippin on him! I’m all in with him

  21. Brandon, the Wizards need to put together a package to trade for James Wiseman, a young 7’ center who can shoot. Also, Dwight Howard a veteran center/mentor for Wiseman. Wiseman needs to attend Hakeem’s Camp…footwork…

  22. Cmon, Poole has 4.5 apg last year, he not a selfish player. Your man Deni, cannot shoot, I saw Poole gave him the ball and Deni just bricked it. That shot Deni wanted not even open; Donte would steal the ball if Poole passed to Deni. When Steph hot, nobody in Warriors will get the ball and they already have 4 rings. If you see how Warriors play, you will know they always feed the hot hands. Btw if you want PG with creativity, you need to accept that there will be high TOV numbers.

  23. When Poole was with the Warriors the protocol with Steph, Klay and Poole is you always feed the hot hand.

Aside from the Steph's mouthpiece throwing incident, you don't want to break a shooters rhythm because he can turn cold very quickly and you can lose a game if no one else has it going.

There were several times when Steph and Klay didn't have it going and they deferred to Jordan when he was hot and they fed him.

Heck, Steph even came off the bench during the playoffs to allow Poole to start the year they won the chip because he was so hot at times.

As for Poole, he still very much under a microscope in the NBA. EVERYTHING that kid does is scrutinized and makes it to the NBA national press. Unfortunately that means The Wizards will be under that microscope with him. Get ready!

  24. Brandon, I agree with you, that a team can be built around JP. But, what I think people failed to realize is, JP, was personally groomed by STEPH CURRY & SC trainer… Steph, was JP mentor. He was suppose to step into Steph’s spot slowly, but after JP’s 2nd run in the G League he blowup. Look at his numbers & highlights the year he helped the Warriors win a CHAMPIONSHIP!!! His turnover numbers were low!!! Get JP his Klay Thompson… a 2 guard who can shoot & guard. Steph was never known for his defense. So y’all need to get a grip!!!

  25. That’s what preseason is about, feeling out your teammates learning whose going to be where, see whose going to fight to get open or stand there and wait for the ball. Jordan played three quarters right? Did anyone else pass the ball to Deni, did he create any of his own shots? Did Tyus or Rollins pass him the ball or was he just upset with that one play?
