    4 thoughts this game:

    1. Our defence still bad, so nothing new there.

    2. Wemby is not a real person, he’s just ridiculous.

    3. Shoutout of JTA, think he’ll be a great addition to commentary.

    4. Our bench is so much better and fluid this season, they are fun to watch.

    Now bring on the season!

  2. ImTheBestNerd

Moody and Kuminga hype train has left the station

  3. a-lafrance

Give me moody minutes or give me death

Also please bring jta back to local warriors media when he retires from playing

-Dubs defense has been pretty bad. The league is too big and skilled to play Steph/Cp3 together against most first units. I think it’s pretty clear and it would be a shame if CP’s ego gets in the way. Team is tiny so there’s struggles to secure the rebound, our perimeter defense and screen navigation is bad and it puts too much on Steph.

-Kuminga was absolutely flawless in the first half. Probably his best game defensively in the preseason. Hitting easy and tough shots, rebounding like a maniac…
    – Saric scoring punch and spacing off the bench is going to be much needed. His chemistry with Chris Paul is amazing (it already was in Phoenix) and opens up the court for Jk/gp2/wiggs to cut. Defensively he’s going to suffer ewpecially playing as a center.

-GPII has been looking pretty good in the preseason, he seems mostly recovered. It’s a shame the team is so small since he has to be guarding forwards more thab he should. He’s an elite point of attack defender but forwards can overpower him or just shoot over him. He still does his best and can be disruptive with his amazing hands but it’s just not the best use for his skillset.

I also think 90% of his minutes should be with Steph on the court since that pairing works amazing and makes gp more playable offensively, aswell as getting the best of the transition opportunities he creates. They also have good chemistry. But once again, since they’re tiny and Chris Paul has to play his share of minutes, it makes it tricky. Steph-Cp3-Gp2 together could work for stretches but it’s mostly a no-no.

-I know it’s preseason and he missed some games so they’ll might just want to get him some run, but I’m getting the feeling Cory Joseph is going to play way more minutes than he should. We all know Kerr. I mean, he shouldn’t play at all with everyone healthy.

-It feels a bit unfair for BP and TJD to be completely out of the rotation given their production. They haven’t only shown flashes but also real impact on winning. We’ll see how Kerr manages their role throughout the season.

-Wembanyama is a generational talent with no ceiling. Whoever thinks otherwise is hating on a 19 yr old who still hasn’t even play in the NBA. His skill + size combination might make him the most unique athlete ever. He does stuff (especially defensively) we haven’t seen before on a game to game basis.

Steve Kerr actually big brained. Lose the final preseason game to keep the players humble.

  6. Itezguatitez

Klay managed to get a hot start and still shoot 3-13. Very rough preseason from him

CP3 and JK are 6th man 1A and 1B off the bench and Moody needs to be right behind them. Not sure how Kerr plans to divvy up big man minutes but Trayce should get some. Dario is going to be a key player. Team is deep, hopefully the starters pull it together but I think they will.

    Preseason takeaways:

    – Steph & CP3 should play a max of 5-8 minutes together a game it’s ABYSMAL defensively every single team lit them up when they played together. CP3 is helpful to the team when he’s running things solo, not with Steph. Clutch time maybe a few minutes but for bulk of the game…no. Led to 10-15 point deficits literally every single time.

    – I love and have defended Klay so much but idk man it’s not looking great. Moody should be taking some of those minutes for sure.

    – Saric will be great, Kuminga made a leap and might end up the 3rd leading scorer after Steph & Wiggs

    – TJD needs 10 mpg minimum he adds a layer to the offense & defense no one else brings.

    – Podz better than CoJo, more dynamic PNR ball handler, but we’ll see if he gets the playing time

    – Klay Wiggins & Kuminga should never play together without Steph….the black hole syndrome was unwatchable

    – CP3 & Saric should be glued together because without a pop threat, CP3’s playmaking isn’t as useful especially because he doesn’t wanna shoot. He really does nothing with Loon. It’s gotta be Saric or TJD

    – Overall I actually think our bench is really good its the AARP starters that I don’t feel great about

  9. BeetLover1111

We desperately need Draymond to play on Tuesday. That’s honestly my key take away. Also JK and moody can finally give us what we’ve been missing last season. Hoping our starters won’t need to play heavy minutes during regular season.

  10. Overall very solid preseason. I think we can all agree that there’s way more optimism around this team than the start of the preseason.

This feels like a complete team and it’s very encouraging that our bench actually claws back deficits instead of getting blown out.

Kuminga and Moody have both taken the leap imo. Very excited to see how they grow. Dario is a fantastic pickup he’s like the OPJ/Beli type player we needed. GP2 is great and looks healthy. CP3 has been great as a bench playmaker and even as a clutch time playmaker. Defense takes a hit with the starters so it should be handled with care. Podz and Trayce are both way better than they have any right to be.

Starters minus Steph and loon have been a bit inconsistent. Even Steph tonight was off. But it’s preseason they’re likely just to playing as hard because they’re wanting the season to fully start.

We have traditionally been bad without Draymond, and it was evident with our bad defense. But us still getting wins is a very good sign of things to come once dray recovers.

The most important thing about this team is Versatility. We have tons of it.

  11. ArtfulLying

Well, it was a good preseason but klay better get it together. Homie gonna get a vet minimum extension otherwise.

  12. mattjchin

We are so small I’m worried how we will be on defense against the bigger teams unless we get another big here. It’s gonna take a hit with Steph and CP3 on defense if both are on the floor together. On offense still gotta cut down on the turnovers.

Edit: and of course Dray needs to be healthy

  13. The score doesn’t really concern me.

    * How did Moody & Kuminga look on off-ball defense?

    * How many minutes did we play the CP3/SC30 pairing (and what was their +/- pairing alpha)?

    * Saric Saric Saric. He’ll be the lineup flex for us and probably critical to being able to play Kuminga and any other non-shooters at the 4 or 5. Is he fitting in and playing proper Warriors ball?

    * How does Cory Joseph’s fit on our team look? The Spurs ran a similar motion offense so he should be familiar with how to play in our offense, but idk if he knows how to work with our lineups or if you can play him with Steph without getting carved up on the other end.

  14. Looks like we finally have a Bench! Hopefully it’s not too late/

  15. primeyield

Too many pieces ready to contribute for Kerr to let anyone play themselves back on either end to start the season. We need a fast start, meaning Kerr gotta have a quick hook. If the starters log big minutes in regular season it’ll be another 2nd round exit

  16. BeetLover1111

anyone knows why Klay is the only vet who played all 5 games ?

  17. Dr_Kermit

Klay, Wiggs and Steph all got blocked by Wemby, gawd we deserved this loss

  18. Peepeetodapin

Holy shit who were those trash players at the end of the game other than Moody, TJD, and Podziemski?

They were so worthless. Please don’t sign them.

  19. Redditforever12

damn victor defense is pretty damn good, a lot more agile than i thought he be
