I know the game is moving away from it, but for a guy like Poole I’d love to see more midrange shots from him. It’s much more low variance and given his shooting touch Poole is a guy who should excel within there.

  2. I expect it to look like this or worse all year. If you’re an opposing coach and you face the Wizards, you coming in gameplanning against Corey and Deni and Bilal? Course not. You know if you stop Poole and Kuz from scoring, the game is pretty much won.

Poole will see double teams just to get the ball out of his hands. Tyus’s random floaters are nice but defenses will glad give up 5 of those a game and let him continue to struggle from 3 and get bords over Gaff.

You should do everyone’s shot chart who started a preseason game. Gonna be a long year.

Need more in-between game. That’s the biggest contrast with Beal that kept him more consistent

5/16 at the rim isn’t ideal. And he won’t have very many games where he shoots 1/15, so that’s obviously bringing these numbers down on such a small sample size.

I already know a couple of wise guys are going to tell me that he’ll have “poor shooting nights”… while yes I agree, but I expect those nights to look more like 5/21 or 6/22. Not 1/15.

The defense played on him last night was, he’s clearly the guy we’re not allowing him to beat us. Defenses can only have that gameplan for so long while Kuz is on the court, because if he gets the freedom of soft and rotating defenses, he WILL take advantage and drop 30.
