Luka is a lebron level talent where you HAVE to build around him, and I just don’t think that the mavs just don’t have a front office that is skilled enough. You need so many specific pieces around luka for the team to work, but when it does I promise you that a chip would be the easiest thing to get.
Also ngl I do not know if there is any good defensive bigman in the market rn. (If there is a good one that Dallas can target for a trade/signing lmk I’m super interested) So genuinely for the good of the franchise and luka, if they don’t make it work next year they should trade him for draft picks and players that they can flip for draft picks/young players) They should blow it up early to prevent wasting theirs and luka’s time.

I really thought Dallas should have traded fo Marcus Smart over Kyrie because Smart is a great defender but he is a leader that can be the soul of a franchise and Dallas needs a true leader that works hard on both ends and will do whatever it takes to win and Dallas is missing that guy who the other players can feed off his infectious hard nose play style and until they find that kinda of guy they will just keep replacing players and hoping that if works each time.

As a Mavs fan, we ain’t gonna win the playoffs this year. We have no big men.
They couldn't defend the real Madrid team and most of they best defenders were playing and they still got smoke yeah they are not a playoff team.
