This is just super embarrassing. Rudy, you need to work on this during the summer. Stop posting a million shirtless videos and start posting clips of yourself learning to have a basketball in your hands

  2. Piano9717

I’d say this turnover is more on number 23 than gobert.. he has to make that cut way sooner instead of bringing his man right to the ball

  3. Bro had an insane height advantage too. Just jump up and hook that shit

  4. SHashbrowns1

Remember when some people were blaming Donovan Mitchell not getting him the ball for his lack of offensive game lmao

  5. FinanciallySpiritual

lol I think Derozan caught an elbow to the face there and then Gobert somehow takes down the other guy at the end too. he’s a menace

  6. McWhorter44

just not immediately turning around and scoring over a guard is inexcusable

  7. I was taught at age 11 the correct thing to do when I was being given the baseline because the defender was cheating toward the lane.

It’s a pretty simple little drop step, seal, power dribble, explode up for the dunk/layup.

If I could do this at 11, you can do it now, Rudy.

  8. Yinanization

Only if the coach allows him to put up that sky hook. We are all robbed.

How is this guy STILL this bad at basketball? No feet, no hands, no composure. Unless a guard “here comes the airplane” him’s every play he ends up looking like this with the rock.

  10. People were down voting me for saying the trade for him was a huge L just a few weeks ago at most. Dudes sent out the second most assets in a trade *ever* for this lmaooooooooooo

  11. This is why teammates hate him. Fkn guy is delusional

A lot of guys don’t have touch but Gobert’s offensive game sense is really baffling sometimes considering how much basketball he’s played. I know passing is a sticky skill and centers rarely ever become as good as Sabonis, Bam, or Horford but I don’t think I’ve seen many centers just freeze up like this.

This is just as much on his teammates as it is on Rudy. When he catches the ball, there are momentarily 3 guys crowding him, which kills his move (he also catches the ball in terrible position, which is on him). He continues to get doubled, and none of his teammates make themselves good targets for the pass, all hanging out around the perimeter which allows the Bulls to effectively cover 4 with 3. By the time someone finally starts to move, Rudy’s done for.

  14. imminentjogger5

what happened to the guy that ended up just laying there?

  15. PirbyKuckett

I’m just happy he caught the pass. Baby steps.

    The comment section is braindead

    Dude literally got triple teamed.

  17. Lol they were on his ass like piranha.

But yeah, that inexcusable for a 10 year veteran, on a max at that, to get cookie’d that easily.

3 man trap against the baseline, and not reacting right is wild alarming. That justifies why he doesn’t even get as much dumpdown passes as a 7 footer.

    “too open”

    “too open”

    “too open”

    “too open”

    “Aw shit”

  19. As a big, you only really need three post moves, a go-to, a counter and a counter to that counter.

Rudy unfortunately has zero and that’s depressing.

I’ve always wondered why this defensive strategy isn’t more common. Like, usually, the guys that get aggressively double-teamed are your Steph Currys and your Damian Lillards, where you’re trying to force the ball out of their hands so they don’t break you down off the dribble. The thing is, though, these guys are typically very skilled at passing out of double teams, so usually all that happens is that they get the ball to a teammate and reset the possession; it doesn’t lead to a turnover or anything. Whereas if you saw that a poor-dribbling, poor-passing big man had the ball, it seems like swarming him would have a much greater chance of causing him to panic and cough up the ball, which would create a much bigger advantage for your team.

This is what five first round picks gets you ladies and gentlemen.

  22. Balls_of_Adamanthium

Gobert should’ve gone faster, but Troy Brown should’ve stayed in the corner to keep Demar honest. That cut made no sense.

  23. Kommander-in-Keef

Gobert somehow ended up killing a man in that scuffle

  24. Slim-Ticket

classic r/nba cherry picking one possession to hate on a player lol

  25. MikeyBastard1

Oddly reminiscent of no squads rec in 2k24 lmao

  26. nickthearchaeologist

At the end of that play, I think he killed a man

  27. MrFluffernutter00

With that title, I wasn’t sure if I was in for a highlight or a lowlight

  28. _theghost_

Bro pulled a Ben Simmons, and the Jazz have their picks for the future……

  29. Statistically passing to Gobert down low is a good idea. The problem is there are enough of these plays to make it seem like it’s not in the eyes of players.

  30. russellarth

Had to argue with so many “feed Gobert” Jazz fans in the Mitchell years. Dummies.

  31. Redscareforcishetmen

Why not post the highlights where he backed demar and TC each under the basket, got the pass then dunked on em. Good defense by the bulls here. Rudy is no jokic.

  32. SingaporeForests

Can’t back down and shoot over a guard on him.

Can’t pass out when doubled even though he towers above them.

    Damn

  33. Tuckboi69

As someone who watched the WNBA regularly this year Gobert on the Timberwolves is the saddest basketball I’ve ever watched.
