Joe Mazzulla said he guarantees reporters won’t ask him about the flexibility of his starting lineup after 20 or 30 games because they’ll have so many first units during that time.

We will go big sometimes Al will start when we play with KP as the only big White will start. I really see no issues with having two different starting 5s over the course of the year.

3-way tie for 6th man of the year. All Celtics.

i really think he will be the reason we dont win if we come up against spo again

Might as well have JT be the 6th man, no more lineup questions

Goddamnit. The Pritchard Christmas guy we spent all summer downvoting was really Joe’s burner account.

    Tip of the cap, sir.

We will go with the best lineup for the matchup… this should be common sense, not surprising and obvious by now

I will preface this with obviously you cannot do it but starting Hauser and having JB be the best 6th man of all time would be sick

God this is dumb. One consistent starting 5. Build continuity. Play guys more minutes based on matchups and flow of the season.

Someone mentioned us coming up short against the Heat again because of Spo. Coaching does play a factor but you can have the best coach in the world and have the players not be able to generate offense at the same time.

This sounds very optimistic and some might disagree with this, but realistically, I can’t think of anyone on the Heat outside of maybe Bam that can hold their own against Porzingis. Adding an All NBA caliber center like Porzingis brings a different factor when we play them in the postseason this year because we all saw how they did against a similar player in Nikola Jokic during the Finals, keep in mind while Jokic is surrounded by a great roster, it’s fair to say that KP is going to have the advantage when he’s healthy since he has four other guys who are able to get their own every night. Denver doesn’t have anyone else like that around Jokic outside of Murray and maybe Gordon.

Fast forward to this season, the Heat could be dealing with a fully healthy KP who has multiple offensive options when he gets down in the post. He’ll either draw up an and one, throw an assist to a player cutting towards the basket, or if he draws the double or triple team he’s able to kick it out to either JT, Holiday, White, or Brown for an open three.

It’s also important to note that Holiday’s play on the defensive end is why the Bucks swept the Heat in 2021 and eventually won the title against the Suns. When they were healthy, Holiday had Lopez, Middleton, and Giannis carrying the offensive load so that gave him the space to focus when it came to playing with more intensity on the defensive end.

The point is, some people don’t realize how insane the offense and defense is going to be this season, I’m not saying we’re guaranteed a title win, but as long as the team stays healthy overall, we’ll definitely be the toughest team to beat in the East outside of the Bucks.
