Even if his ceiling is 15/5/5 that’s still fucking great for the Lakers on his contract.

  2. ShoyuPorkRamen

Thats because The lakers have many options now in term of scoring especially if lebron and AD healthy, so he doesnt need to avg like 20+ pts but if he’s in a tanking team im sure he can avg 20 points

  3. Theoneandonlylog

Who cares what some random retired player thinks

  4. xzapata89

I hope Austin prints this, posts this on his wall, and reads it every day.

  5. cookingtheblandout

wasn’t Reeves averaging 22 points a game with Team USA? That’s on roster full of stars. And at times looked like the best player on the floor

  6. coolman1500

If he went to a tanking team he could easily do more . But our squad is good getting 15 pts is quite good

  7. NoHateration1

Honestly who is going to Chandler for sound NBA takes? Not me that’s for sure.

  8. JesusDiedforChipotle

Who cares what chandler parsons has to say about anything

  9. Every time I read Parsons name, the only thing I can think is that he is the dude who wouldn’t be mad if his bulldog got run over by a car.

  10. Who cares? There are TONS of retired basketball players that don’t think Luka is top 10 in the league and there’s even some that argue that Kyrie is the best player on the Mavs. Former or even current players are not always the best evaluator of talent. Just look at MJ, one of the greatest players to ever play basketball, great basketball IQ, TERRIBLE evaluator of NBA talent.

  11. 15/5/5 is possible but only tells part of the story.

They will likely be done with high efficiency, good shooting percentages and low turnover rates.

The Lakers desperately need guys that can hit open 3’s or dribble past a guy running at him and make a floater in the paint. Reeves checks all those boxes.

  12. crimsonsentinel

Kyle Lowry and Mike Conley are career 15 5 5 guys but somehow they are stars but Austin is not? 🤡

  13. Jagermeister4

15/5/5 is better than Parson’s best year, and Parson signed a 95 mil contract (95 mil being a lot more 10 years ago).

  14. litlegoblinjr

Even if Reaves just gives you 15/5/5 the next few years, he does a lot more than what’s shown in the box score

  15. Spaghettibeach

What a moron, clearly this guy hasn’t watched much of him. AR is entrenched in the intangibles, his teammates learn to trust him quickly, and he doesn’t abuse that trust taking bad shots. Even when he doesn’t hit 15/5/5, he’ll come through when the offense is stagnant and score the most momentum turning 5-9 points in a quarter you’ve ever seen. Can’t put that in a stat box.

  16. GutsTheSwordsman

You can never be too fit, Reaves can progress his body.

Reaves can always shoot better from three.

His ballhandling has improved, especially with the help of Handy.

No reason Reaves cannot improve to be a 20 pt scorer type guy, with decent/dependable defense against other guards and maybe can handle himself against some switches.

  17. Splittinghairs7

In terms of pure efficiency, Reaves is already approaching a theoretical peak. His TS% was off the charts good last year.

Reaves could improve with more volume and not losing too much in efficiency, but likely not on this loaded lakers team this year playing next to Lebron, AD, DLo etc.

  18. ArtemisStanAccount

He’s partially right (I think he can be better than 15/5/5) but regardless, who cares? AR is exactly what the lakers need him to be. Just because he may never be a superstar, that doesn’t mean he can’t still be good. Comment like these are just blatant shows of hate.

  19. masterako

Def doesnt have superstar potential, but ill take a cheap 15/5/5 player that can raise the team’s floor like how draymond is to the warriors, rather than a 25ppg max player like dame who consistently get early exits in the playoffs.

  20. Callecian_427

Get this man on Caruso’s training regimen and there’s nothing he can’t accomplish

  21. Reaves is already better than Chandler Parsons ever was. You don’t have to be an All-NBA or All-Star to be considered a good player. Did Manu Ginobili ever receive All-NBA or All-Star bid—I can’t recall but I don’t think so. If AR’s ceiling is Manu, I’d take that in a heart beat.

  22. whatmodern

15/5/5 while giving you good defense and good ball movement? That’s actually amazing.
