I’m a corporate attorney and I can’t afford to take my family to a game. Who the heck is blowing $1,000 to sit in the nosebleeds?

I just go to away games. Charlotte is the closest for me and I am going to the November 18th game. One day I will be able to make it to MSG

Damn I would have thought the Sixers would be more expensive. It’s cheaper to drive to Philly, get good seats and spend the night than it is to go to the Garden.

I work for the state. I’ve been to 2 games in the last few years. Not having kids yet has it’s perks

man im still in school working part time, i got 1 bleacher ticket to both of our games vs the nets at the barclays. genuinely happy the nets existed at that moment bc i dont think i wouldve been able to afford a game this year :/

I’m a teacher. My mother in law’s boss has a box and sometimes lets us join. She’s retiring this year though so I doubt I’ll ever see a game again

In live in Florida and am enlisted in the Navy. I see the Knicks multiple times a year. At least once in MSG and then various away games.

My boy used to work in ticket sales and got group tickets for a Saturday feb game for like 12 of us for 95 a piece. Level 200

I’m a teacher/writer and I managed to get to 4 games last season by snapping up resale tickets after refreshing like a crazy person. Could never afford face value tickets.
On the other hand, my wife and daughter and I can get court side Westchester Knicks tickets for barely anything. Occasionally get to see someone cool.

The only thing I hate about the Knicks is paying to see them.
I may just go to Barclays to do so this year, unless I get some good deals at the last moment.

I do pretty ok and can’t justify more than 3-5 games a year – and even feel guilty about that. Also going to stick to 200’s section now so I’m not spending >600 a game between tickets, food, and drink for two people.

I’m a Systems Designer at a luxury tech company and I just wait for my boss to offer up his season tickets lol. Same with Yankees games. (Amazing seats, worth more than my monthly combined pay just for the one alone LOL). But It really is insane how crazy prices get. Sometimes I wish I lived in another city for cheaper events lol. But then again, I think 1 game a year at The Garden is better than none just to feel the energy.

PS- Remember when a bunch of us wanted to fly/drive to Cleveland because their playoff tickets were cheaper than our regular season tickets lol
Fuck I hate being a new yorker sometimes.

I’m an engineer and business owner, I’m bringing my family to the heat game Black Friday. 3 tickets $750 each for half court seats around row 18

I find that the best option is to just go to a weeknight game against a shitty team like the Wizards or Blazers
jaxon_15
I hope one day I can watch the Knicks court side just once. Definitely on my bucket list but for now I can’t swing that 10k ticket

I work insane hours with insane stress but make a ton of money. Tradeoffs..
Oh and I also add to my stress by going to as many Knicks games as I can. I will be dead by 50

Yup, my wife and I gross $200k, no kids. Even we balk at prices, maybe go to like 2-3 games a year whereas we’d like to go to half a dozen. Two average at best seats, two NJ transit tix, some food, shits like $700+ quick. We typically go for each of our birthdays.
awesometown3000
I started flying to away games instead. Spending that money to be in NOLA for 3 days plus a basketball game is way more fun.

Lol I thought this was the r/NBA sub at first and was like “who the hell can’t afford $35?”
Yeah, those top 6 are absurd. If you can’t sit in the nosebleeds for $100 that’s too much.
